Your examples of certain classes doing so much damage per fight are not an overall example of the damage capabilities of these classes. SCH, SMN, and BLM have very powerful crowd control abilities. SMN can KO an enemy player using nothing but instant cast spells. I myself have been hit with a 1700+ crit from a SMNs pet, while I have 200+ Morale. You yourself claimed that it was not the SMNs pets' damage that was overpowered. The pet did that. Your posts scream of bias. Please take a step back and look at the big picture. Summoners immense damage output is going to be leveled out to be more in line with other classes.
you know what could greatly help, and I just thought of this. In PvE this would be OP because of the stress that debuffs put on a healer. In the instance of player vs player, in most other games the healer has an area of effect esuna or leeches. Typically, PvE content is tuned for this and it just carries over, this counters the AoE status ailments and damage over time (some) this is usually tuned so that it does not effect certain other damage abilities core to other classes.
A PvP only AoE esuna and leeches without a long cooldown timer that removed one ailment from each person would add a little depth to the healing roles in PvP as well as counter the summoners and black mages with AoE Sleep and status ailments. I think something like this would be awesome.

It would make more sense if Esuna and Leeches were just instant cast, with a short cooldown around 6-8 seconds. It would also be nice if classes like SMN, SCH, BLM, and MNK didn't have AoE crowd controls. Area Pacify from MNKs, area Weight + DoTs + heal debuff from SCH/SMN, area Sleep from BLM. It wouldn't be so bad if some of the durations were shorter, or if it wasn't multiple status effects at once, or if it weren't locking down a whole team. It's very crazy right now with SMN/WHM/BLM teams. Toss a PLD in the mix to stunlock, and you have a winning recipe.

Summoners Pet damage is 64-96 auto attack damage in ilvl 55 pvp gear and 180-216 damage in ilvl 90 pve gear so 1700 crit is from the pets ultimate attack.Akiza, there will be adjustments to SMN/SCH and possibly other classes/jobs whether you like it or not. Sleep is way more useful for crowd control than Bind and if a Black Mage sleeps people die within 10s and there is nothing anyone can do about it unlock bind sleep doesn't break when attacked.

He means that BLM is quite unforgiving when compared to SMN. If you're thinking BLM will be harder to lock down and less prone to stuns, interrupted damage, or CC breaks, you're in for a rude awakening.
Sleep and Bind break on the same things.
Sleep doesn't break when attack unlike Bind which breaks as soon as the players is attacked so all Black Mages have to do is sleep and nuke and everyone is dead in 30s
