Please Give us more control over the camera

Idk about you, but I've always like having complete control over the camera. Even in FFXI, I never used the chase cam, I always used the arrow keys to move my cam. Any other way is just inefficient, lazy and will make you bad. Camera always behind you? Ok, what if a mob is hitting you from behind? You won't know what that mob is because you can't see them without stopping your auto-run and turning around. Chase cam = bad idea. No thanks.

That's why the mouse left-click should let you manually-pan, instead of doing nothing. It would be great in instances, like you mentioned, such as while auto-running.

The controls are set up like that in so many other MMOs, that I still try to left-click pan while auto-running. It drives me crazy that I can't.

IMO, having to manually pan all the time is inefficient. I need to be spending my time healing my party, not worrying about juggling my camera. I would like a 'chase camera' option.
