every skill is based on hte animation not the cast time. every instant cast skill has almost a 1 second animation on it hense why you cant pop all the cooldowns at once. It was an aethstetic choice by the developers.

I realize that, but my question is why some of the skill (i.e. the combat log readout and cooldown) are processed before the actual application of healing to the target as per the screenshot. This is what led me to believe there was a bug or unintended lag in the way Benediction or other instant cast spells were processed. If this is merely an aesthetic choice as you say, the combat log update and the application of the heal shouldn't be processed at different times. The spell effect should be processed first, THEN the combat log should be updated and the cooldown charged accordingly - not vice versa. It is either a bug or incredibly poor design choice to process the actual spell effect last because it wastes an important cooldown...
