Don't bring a PvE weapon to a PvP fight

I thought pvp weapons were only earned in pvp, making it required for people to have at least some time in pvp using pve weapons no matter what.

Your game lapse time was that long 3:32, meaning you'd screw up that much too? And you only did that measly amount, Most of my match are done before 1:40 minutes mark with an average of 14-15k. You are just overestimating yourself and your PvP weapon. The only reason you'd use iLvl70 weapon is when you are the healer or a SMN/BLM cause you get focused and need the morale purely for defensive purpose.

My friend does that much dmg as a MRD in a fight half as long with the EX Primal weapon, fwiw.

In all honesty, I wasn't really trying to "show off" how much damage i did. I do realize that this is not very much damage, considering the time. My only actual comment about damage, was in a response to Taneshima. I guess some ppl lock on to one thing, and that is all they can think about/ see. As Taneshima pointed out, an i lvl 70 pvp weapon, would have been superior here, if not for the damage, but for the survivability. As Rocky Balboa once said, "It aint about how hard you can hit. Its about how hard you can get hit, and still keep going." If you are dead, you not doing your team much good.

Problem is MRDs hardly get hit hence why Allagan is better. Ilvl 90 PvP is stronger cause the interaction of Determination, Morale, Weapon DMG and STR + Berserk will make it undoubtedly stronger.

I dont believe in post match dmg done. You will do so much more damage if you ARENT getting binded, knockbacked, and slept, this boosts your percieved damage more than anything else. Join me in another dimension (maybe japan) where tanks are always focused first, and ill show you their damage drops hard as well. And in duels the one who has the most stun DR and cooldowns will win so that says nothing either. Im thinking of testing a little with my pld friend at 4am when i've got pvp weap and extreme axe. Mostly because im curious about the effect of weapon dmg in pvp.

Once again, it's not all about my damage done. There have been times when the opposing team *tried* to kill me first. The tank and two melee. I survived for several reasons. 1. A good healer. 2. The had PvE gear on. 3. I'm decked out in full PvP gear. Yes, a good healer is a must. But even a great healer will have a tough time keeping anyone alive if they aren't properly geared. The main point is this. Don't think that you can go into PvP, and pwn, just cause you beat Twintania. It is great that you beat turn 5. I haven't yet, but hope to at some point. I have seen time and time again, of Allagan weapon users getting smashed in pvp. Take it how you want. Just showing those that may think otherwise, that having pvp gear and pvp weapon makes a difference. In staying alive, and in winning. Lobo's Warrior uses a pvp weapon. I wonder why he doesn't use a zenith or Allagan?

No you weren't. You were being cocky and arrogant. You have full PvP gear with 200+ morale, and the guy in your screenshot has 44. So, to summarize your argument:

A player with full PvP gear and lots of PvP experience can beat a solo que player with no PvP gear and no PvP experience.
Therefore, lv70 PvP Axe > lv95 PvE Axe.

32K huh? yeah, sure. If you are doing 32K damage in that amount of time, and the fight is not over, then you messed up somewhere. Anyway, I have the i lvl 70 pvp axe, not the i lvl 90 yet. And this is not the first time I have pwned an Allagan Axe MRD/ WAR in pvp. Troll all you want, but this picture says a lot.
