Maybe I'm just crazy for being completely baffled why you would play an MMO if you want to play solo, I mean that would be like me wanting to join a sports team but not wanting to play with other people. The draw of the team is obvious to play with and aganist other people so to want to play solo seems like it would defeat the purpose of joining the team.
No, it's because you think MMO means you have to do everything with other people. That's not what it means. It simply means many people playing online in the same "world" It doesn't mean they always have to play with each other. An MMO is more like another world, another life. Your analogy is wrong. You would compare joining the soccer team to joining an LS or an FC, or even potentially a party. You also don't look at it from someone elses point of view, which is another reason why it "baffles" you.
