E3 is probably placing a strain on their PR and translators even if the FF14 team is not apart of it.

I'm refreshing lodestone all night at work. Im really holding out on this patch along with alot of my friends who I convinced to give it a second try...

The big thing that irks me is they hyped this with the weather effects, lore postings, NPCs and stuff in game, all this stuff saying getready!!!! Nowe're sitting here with like a week to release and theres been nothing about it. Not even lore. It makes you nervous something is wrong or the patch might be delayed : /

My expectations are none nowadays. I have been playing since release but the lack of new interesting things made me feel meh when I managed to rank my first class to 50. I did not feel like starting a new class or anything. Also, the lack of clear agenda and a 'let down' at each patch (quest coming? YAY!... Quests out: Most of them are actually boring, not cutscene).

I still like the short respawn time of NMs combined with low drop rates, keeps one busy while not so easy to get the drops (at least for some of them).

In any case, waiting for 'real' exciting news, I'm not getting hyped anymore by any letters from the producers/patch because only the ingame experience counts in the end. I stopped logging in and playing other stuff while checking everyday if there is an update for 1.18 (and I just really care about a date, not the announced content).

I feel the same way. I relieve the stress by making angry forum posts and and kicking babies on the street. Not helping though... I want my patch quality patch and I want it now. Yes I'm fully aware of the conflicting concepts in that demand.
