The Next Extreme Trail Should be Sephiroth

I'd would really rather see them trying to develop Hydaelyn's world to be unique more instead of continuing with this inane modern-MMO standard of throwing in as many internet memes as possible alongside their own brand of franchise circlejerking. Stuff like classic jobs, summons, and the occasional reference, okay, cool. I'd rather it'd not be stuck in almost every corner of the game like it is right now, it makes the game feel very...lifeless.

It's Hydaelyn, it's been said since the start of the game V.1, FFXIV started with it's own realm. Every cameo and stuff are just Yoshida team using Fanservice to take the easy way.
Some are introduced in the game the smart way, like the crytsal tower or magitek armor taking a real part in the lore, other are just here to be here with no real reason like Lightning was. ("He wanted me to be here" ...why?!)

Is that so ? I remember some stuff which were imported right from FF12 (Damalsca for example). Might be just a cameo but well, that would be a shame to lack of imagination to this point...

You brought us FF13 heroine so there is no reason not to bring this iconic villain to FF14 as the hardest Extreme Trail in 2.2 .

I'm a big fan of Sephiroth, I think he is the second best Villain in FF history and for sure top 5 in RPG games history. I have faith in the story writers to find a way to bring him to FF XIV. He should be hard, unforgiven, powerful and even when we win against him it should not look like defeat but just him exiting the scene for whatever reason. Honestly, I would not even mind if he was Turn 10 Coil last boss in 2.2.

I WANT Sephiroth! nowz!

P.S. don't forget to add epic CGI just for him kicking everyone behind like a boss ^^.

Edit: Seriously boss fight with "One Winged Angel" playing in the background...ZOMG.

There is so much to see in Eorzea on the Eastern half of the map. An expansion can grant us access to Ala Mhigo as we attempt to take it back from the Empire. There's also the Garlean Empire we could explore and throw in some new extreme trials. So, adding Sephiroth into this game isn't the greatest of ideas because he just doesn't fit with the story or realm. Unless he tries to take a branch off the meteor arc than that could be something to look into as well.

The plot with Nael van Darnus in 1.0 was basically a giant reference to Sephiroth and the Meteor incident. A descendant of the ancient race who wants to purge the world for his people by using meteor. He had silver armor and was the legatus of the VIIthe legion. All he was missing is the effeminate face and fetish costume.

Yep, and there is the 7th heaven and cristal tower in mor d'hona, ghost train in dark shroud, the invading faction's called the empire and use magitek armor and some soldiers use gunblades. Soon there will even be a Gold Saucer.

So at this point any name from others FF appearing here doesn't mean anything.

Awesome char, awesome fights. He manifests the best aspects of:

...which turns out to be a fantastic combination for a villian.
