Why is Myth gear as good as Allagan gear, or even better?

I'm pretty sure you could have your whole party rock AF armor and ilvl 50 weapons and wp or ak wouldn't be a problem at all.

Rotations honestly mean more than gear. You could have all ilevel90 equipment and have terrible dps because your rotation is terrible.

If crafted gear isn't as good as 'loot' gear because the game wants you to earn your gear from farming monsters, not from farming gil.

It has nothing to do with farming gil and everything to do with minimizing RMT.

People who think coil isn't "Casual" content are making me laugh.

Please. It takes 1-2 weeks of spamming ilvl 55 content to get a piece of Myth gear, too, but the "raids" in this game up to turn 5 and possibly four for some people are absolutely laughable. Even the most casual player can go in to turns 1 and 2, get 4 chances at ilvl 90 loot per week, and be done in half an hour.

This game IS casual. Completely and utterly. The lot of you who are deluding yourselves into thinking you're "better" because you do coil are just that - delusional. The only thing that has any real merit are Twintania weapons, and guess what? You can't get those from myth.

All this is is a bunch of babies crying that they can't be enough of a special snowflake on an MMO, while simultaneously refusing to realize that they aren't actually "special" in the slightest.

Alternative gearing routes.

Nobody wants to do just coil for BiS gear once a week.

Also, Myth gear can be obtained without doing endgame dungeons so casuals can gear up.

Best to have a few options for gearing up instead of a single path.

This doesn't answer the question as to why myth gear is as good or at times, better than allagan gear.

Yes there should be various ways of gearing up, but allagan should be the best gear in the game as it comes from the hardest content.

I think all allagan gear should be ilvl95.

"Hardest" is subjective. It's still not difficult, save for Twintania, who *does* drop ilvl 95 gear.

There is about as much effort required in doing T1 and 2 as there is for spamming AK over and over and over.

Pretty much from what I just read through 12 pages, we got a warrior or people that are hardcore raiders that do coil to get the highest level gear are they are getting mad that casuals are getting the same level of gear as them by doing level 50 dungeon content.

Its the same in every MMO, there's always a group of raiders that does the top content to be special snowflakes over anyone else so they can look cool while they are afk in towns. To cheer this thread up, I shall give you a cute chicken

I clearly remember in WoW, when pvp gear got introduced, with glowing shoulders, the raiders started whining like mad that non-raiders could get what they called "welfare epics", even though at the time the pvp was much harder to get. (had to get to a rank, not just spam run it.) There were people complaining a LOT about the pvp gear having glowing shoulders. So yes, it was all about special snowflakes standing around in town. The funny thing is, a lot of them were the same ones complaining how easy the game was, but never even beat normal difficulty raiding at current tiers.

I also don't get why people are so crazy about mthy/allagan/whatever, since it's pretty clear there will be even better gear down the road, and once there is, do people really want to run old content just to be able to do what comes next?

Housing should drop the best gear in the game. Once you buy a house, you go inside and look in the closet, wallahhhh BIS gear.

Housing SHOULD drop THE best gear in the game, because as it stands right now, housing IS THE most difficult part of the game. Almost No body can clear the large house ilvl/gil requirement.
