    PVP Materia

I dont PVP, but as a crafter, I'm very interested in materia and PVP. I saw both ilvl 70 and 90 can be melded. Before 2,1, 2star ilvl 70 was the highest ilvl gear (70) that could be melded. My Bard AF2 pants have 34 crit. I would assume the stat caps for accuracy, crit, and skill speed would be the same on bard ilvl90 PVP pants and chest. It would take 2 IV, 2 II, and a II materia to reach that. It seems like the absolute best emelds for PVP gear would be penta IV melds. I know there's resistance materia, but do you really need it in every slot on every gear? Why not meld Vit to Bard jewelry for more HP? I'd love to hear what you guys do for melds.

Most people pile on crit (i see plds with 508~crit running about) but they should remove stat caps on pvp gear imho since stat caps are judged to scale/limit pve damage and works in tandem with content drip. Doing so would helps the markets quite a bit and get more people into buying and spiritbonding which in return would solve a few problems since the only stats to use are crit and det except for pvp materias.

My prediction: SE will keep war amazingly devastating in PvP so later down the line you must do lolPvE to get PvP stuff... and that will fix the 'lack of tank' issues. /pets cat.

They cant remove stat caps, because then it could be possible to make PVP superior then PVE gear in PVE settings.

PvP gear restricts materia from being in effect outside of PvP unless the tooltip is wrong/broken plus pvp gear is already superior except for the lack of 478acc.

Materia on PvP gear does not take effect unless you're in PvP.

How hard is ilvl 90 PvP gear to get? I'm guessing at this point most people only have one or 2?

If you hit Rank 30 sometimes, you'll have a full ilvl90 pvp set.

What the others are trying to say is that you need PvP level 30 to equip level 90 PvP gear. Grinding to 30 is a long way, for someone who plays an insane amount of time they might be there, for someone who plays a lot, they might be half way, the rest are far from it (for you to have an idea, at about 450-500 matches assuming 50% win rate, you'd still be around level 18, and it doesn't progress linearly.

Besides that, you need to buy ilvl90 pvp gear, if you have been saving and only focus on one class it won't be an issue though.
