    Why did you decrease the amount of Gil you can obtain from leves?

    Some triple turn-in leves were profitable before to make money using our allowances, since you could get +200% extra gil if you handed out HQ items.

    I understand why you nerfed the amount of experience obtained from leves, but why exactly did you also nerf the amount of gil they give?

    It was uncalled for, nobody who has all their crafts maxed out will bother with tradecraft leves anymore due to this.


    Not to mention that the "Who wants to be a Gillionaire?" achievement is now twice as hard to obtain.

    I mention this in another thread. Some Leves were actually quick profits if you bought mats cheap enough, now its hard to break even and takes alot of time to make decent gil, wasting more allowances, its barely worth the time now. Only way Leves are profitable now is if you farm all mats your self which might take a day or two if you want to craft 900 HQ items for the 100 triple turn in Leves.

    For Example: Lets say a leve cost you cost 2000 for mats, with a total Reward total of 4000 gil from the leve. -2000 for mats and you have 2000 profit. Not bad if your desperate for gil, it doubled your investment so it was worth it. But now in 2.1 that 4000gil reward has been reduced by 33%, now 2666. subtract cost of mats, you make 666 profit. IMO thats a waste of 100 leves and time. You spend more time trying to make your investment back before you see the gain.

    If you ask me, Leves should be primary source of making gil. Gil should be tripled for tradecraft/ Battle/Field Leves since the allowance refresh so slowly. As it is right now, once you reach 50, there is no incentive to do Quest/Tradecraft/Battle Leves because the award isnt big enough. Heck, Most leves cost you more gil to complete them. Right now, gil is generatored to slowly,the gil awarded from dungeons barely pays for the repairs and a teleport. Gil is moslty transferd between hands, not genorated. Since 2.1, People are hoarding their gil for Housing and the poor is getting poorer. Its a sad day in the realm of Eorzea.

    Exactly, I'm glad to see other people were doing the same I was doing, and are finding this a problem too.

    Hopefully we could get the devs to reconsider this. I mean, again, I understand why they nerfed the EXP, but there was no reason at all to nerf the gil you get from leves. Doing 900 HQ crafts takes an insane amount of time and work, and the reward should be adequate.

    Maybe because you can have 8 other toons with a cap 100 leves each and each of them are able to get a certain number replenished everyday.

    Gil generation would then exceed what gil sinks could remove, causing massive inflation.

    To be honest I doubt anybody would ever sit one afternoon and do 900 x 8 = 7200 HQ crafts.

    well the replenishment rate is doable though. Just don't stock up to 100 on each toon and try to do them all at once.

    I was quite disappointed to realize that doing the lv20 BSM courier leve is now gil negative. You get ~450g per HQ turn-in, and the teleport from Limsa Lominsa to Quarrymill and back is 295g each way (with favored destinations on both ends). I'm not expecting to make a lot of money doing courier leves, but it'd be nice to make something like 100g per turn-in (not including mat cost)?

    It's particularly cruel to end-game crafters since the changes to exp do nothing for us. It'd be nice to have it so that if you can't use the exp you'd at least get extra gil instead.

    A bot could and the game is bot balanced.

    Welcome to the death of FF14 and I'm not being mellow dramatic. They have balanced around unsavory elements and made viability impossible for anyone but those unsavory elements.
