When you play with a controler (XBOX or PS3) You have 18 slots to fill with the abilities of your choice. 8 slots for R1-2 & 8 slots for L1-2. I said cases instead of slots sorry, langage difference >.<;
I was saying that now since we use the 3 combos we might use 9 slots on a controler, as we would just use 6 before 2.1.
It is possible to still use 7 by putting SP & SE on one part of the controler because the combo start with the same base but we still need to macro more stuff together as we are losing 1-2 slots out of it.
I play on ps3, and there's 8 hotbars each consisting of 16 slots for abilities. as a WAR, I found that I ran out if room pretty quickly the closer I got to lvl 50 and the more WAR abilities I gained. I ended up 'gimping' myself for the longest time by only having the most used abilities on 1 hotbar, since using more than 1 seemed like a daunting and potentially confusing task, and basically not using half of my abilities. 2.1 rolled out, and made me stop and think to myself, "now ive got all these other abilities that are really useful, but I have no room, what an I to do?" .. I came up with a solution that works easily for me using a total of 3 hotbars.. basically I set up BB, SP, SE, IB, and 2 or 3 other abilities, a total of 10 abilities, all in the same spots over the 3 hotbars leaving me 6 slots per hotbar, for another 18 abilities. it was kind of a mess at first having to retrain muscle memory and keeping in mind where everything was, but as I played more and more, and little tweaks here and there, it's now rather easy knowing what's where when I need it. and basically my 1st bar (after the initial 10 abilities) consists of extra 'attack' abilities, 2nd bar is for damage reduction/increase defense CD abilities, 3rd is for self healing/self preservation CDs and abilities, ie: ToB, convalescence and whatnot.. it may seem redundant to some people that I'm taking up 10/16 slots on every bar with the same abilities, but for me it's helped out tremendously being able to keep my combos going no matter what bar I'm currently using, while being able to quickly find that particular CD without bumbling my fingers around.

I play on PC with an Xbox 360 controller and a keyboard in my lap. Here's my set up.
On the right side, I have the BB combo along with IB on the buttons and then Maim/SE/SP and our stun on the direction pads. I macroed Bloodbath to go off automatically 1 second after I use Skull Sunder. It's heals aren't big enough to save it for certain situations and this way, I get some self heals every time it's up without having to think about it. Also, because it's on a wait after I use Skull Sunder, I never have to press the button twice. BB just automatically happens in between Skull Sunder and Butcher's block. I am thinking about macroing in Mercy stroke into Butcher's block this same way. It's off the GCD, so, it should go off automatically after a butcher's block when it's available.
With this, I can do my main threat combo, my Mit combo and my DPS combo without having to let go of the right trigger. I also have easy access to stun and IB when I know a big hit is coming.
On the left side, I have Flash, Overpower, Steel Cyclone and Tomahawk on the buttons. This way, I can hold down the left trigger when I'm pulling a group or adds and have my ranged pull move and easy access to my AOE rotation. On the D pad, I have Foresight/Awareness (macroed together with a 1.5 second wait), Thrill of Battle/Convalescence (also macroed with a 1.5 second wait), featherfoot and then vengeance. I macro Forsight and awareness because alone, neither are all that good. I figured using them together (even though Awareness is on a longer CD) would probably be better. I macroed ToB with Convalescence for the same reason. By itself, ToB is just a small heal with a raise to your max HP. Add in convalescence and the extra HP works better as the heals coming in will be larger as well.
And then on my keyboard's number pad, I have Defiance, Provoke (with Tomahawk macroed to autocast .5 seconds later), Holmgang, Berserk, Infuriate, and Unchained.
With this setup, I can do everything I need to do with one cross bar and then a few keybinds.

I was apparently not using this correctly so thank you all for the reply I will not be using this in a macro
No, the poison is bads like you.
Kitru might be pedantic, but in this case he's entirely correct about the difference between eHP and mitigation. Any tank seeking to better understand their CDs and ideal use should be concerned about the difference and apply that knowledge to in-game situations (including group tactics) to gain an advantage.
And seriously, GFY on the "convenience" argument BS. You can say it's not laziness, but it 100% is. Using a controller for battle content in an MMO is lazy. Period. Being lazy is okay, just own up to it and don't pretend you're something you're not.

It means you're screwed.
As for the whole Kitru vs Zoomie thing, Kitru does have a point.
Yes Zoomie is not saying ToB is the same as an ability like Rampart, but it does imply it.
Really I do think most people just take offense to simply being corrected no matter how it is worded.
There is no "zoomie vs kitru" thing. I provided a usage for ToB and he didn't like my wording which I thought was silly. The end. Please return to your regularly scheduled broadcasts.
