Except in the beta forums:

1. We really didn't have trolls. Pretty much all the posts were constructive feedback or questions.
2. We got zero feedback from SE, except for announcements regarding testing dates or server issues. Nothing but eerie silence. We had no idea if they were even reading what we were saying.

1. I don't know what Beta forums you were in, but there were plenty of trolls.

2. Sounds the same, eerie silence is pretty damn close to "were looking into it" posts. I will say that the blue prints have been a definite step in the right direction... but there not there yet ><

You mean open or closed beta? Because open beta did open the floodgates to a few, yes. But I remember closed beta being more serious.

True about the feedback from the Devs.
Their are trolls here true and yes i have done the Devils advocate just for fun in the threads. I really enjoyed FFXI so much and played for 6 years. I was utterly surprised that after 4-5 years they spent Making this game how bad it was at release. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I figured they would take the good from FFXI remake it with a twist and have it in FFXIV. The Guild Leves to me feel like Fields Of Valor from ffxi. To me the game didn't deliver on fun or content.

Now looking at Guild Wars 2, hot dam that game delivers everything and more. They still haven't set a open Beta date yet or release and the game is looking so polished. It looks incredible. Also no monthly Fee's.

The one scene in FFXIV where the CON cast a protect spell on the boat and you see a force field covers them. Ya GW2 Guardian job can do that, It looks GREAT. Not sure why FFXIV doesn't have stuff like that in it. Who know FFXIV could turn out to be a really great game or it could get cancelled or just stay a niche MMO. Either way i don't care what it becomes.
