The plan to reduce legacy land prices to group 3 pricing was announced on Lodestone 2 hours after the patch went active. That announced a huge price cut of 80%-90% which was to be implemented gradually over the course of 3 months, not starting after 3 months. In fact, one set of adjustments was explicitly stated to start in January, which is only 2 weeks after the patch went active. And of course SE always said pricing would be reduced every 6 hours anyway.

It's up to SE how to handle this. It won't bother me if they refund the difference, refund it all and deconstruct the house, or refuse a refund. Surely the FC believed the house to be worth the purchase price when it bought it?

As for "you're part of the problem", I suppose they could mean your FC demonstrated that pricing was not unreasonable, or maybe that you broke a boycott a few posters seemed to have called for.

We didn't plan to boycott to begin with, so if that's the suggestion. As far as I'm concerned, the high prices that square enix wanted to implement, I agreed with, but not to the extent they announced.
