I would of thought that it would be more beneficial to use the party finder to get like minded and geared players together to do speed runs than hope the DF and DR spins you a competent group capable of speed running right off the bat without warning...

my CM run was <watch 1st cutscene> /p Hi ... esc , where is everyone oh over there...how did they get past this mob oh its aggro'd on me, dead , huh I beat the 1st boss ?...what did it look like, oh theres a short cut, hmmm rubbish chute ...err ahh my fellow adventurers what are we doing.... etc etc till final boss and Tank is like Commendations please , I was like ' What the hell for ? Dragging me through my story run of CM so fast I didnt see anything, hope you get nothing but WHM drops from all the dungeons you run' .. he replied ' lolz u mad bro ' ..typical troll, gets more sustenance from making others unhappy than even eating and drinking.

It is SE's fault though... making a story dungeon have so many cutscenes yet allow players to run off while others are watching and also make it a farm location.. shield the damn cutscenes and / or make it worth the while to wait for players ... like IF a player is on thier 1st run, bonus tomes to all IF all the cutscenes are watched.

My biggest problem with Dr is getting into a group already funning and finding most of them are already gone. I dont' mind replacing people, but I ended up in Garuda 4 times and 3 of them when I loaded I was the only one there. It is a waste of time because I have to then leave the instance and reque up again. I loke the bonuses and love how SE gave me a way to help others through content I already did, but it gets annoying when I see the screen pop up and then 5 minutes later I am trying again.

This is true 100% of the time, expect when it's the healers fault.

i got a cleric body and ever since i put it on i get mad hate i just have to be in party then i see all the red lines come too me.

things that happen:
#1 tank pulls room but alittle too slow on getting all the mob to attack him/her, i cast cure 2 before tank dies the mobs now are after me i die we wipe.
#2 tank pulls room tells me to wait till he/she gets all the mobs, tank drops dead before that skill can grab aggro and way before i can get a cast off.
all im saying if you pull the room just be a bit quicker on the gaining all the aggro, i can keep up with the heals but i need time to get the first one out.

On a similar note, I had a guy in my DF WP run that ran ahead on second boss to tag him to reset the trash. Notice I said ran ahead. I was pulling the skellie and ghost to the room before boss and the rest of us proceeded to fight those 2 mobs when I heard the boss music start.

I'm like "wtf, why you jumping ahead like that?" Long story short, the lock out prevented me and the rest of the party from entering boss area and he died. I said, "serves you right, now reset yourself and stop wasting our time."

The kicker was, this guy ends up being a part of my FC. I found that out after we all lest the dungeon upon completion and he said, "thanks foe the wp run" in company chat! I kinda felt bad at that point.

I don't like that you can't tell where these people are coming from in DF. I wished your company tag showed while in a dungeon.

i just avoid WP like a cancer, if i end there doing DR just leave take the penalty and try again later, tha sad thing is i'm tank, i feel sorry for some ppl that will end there like me, but most ppl doing WP are elistist SRunners.

I play for fun, i have enough SRs in real life to pay the bills, so when im playing i want to enjoy my time there, not rush to get a reward.

SE is not going to remove WP from DR, so if they want a SR there's a very useful tool called party finder.

PD; WP is a funny dungeon. when its played as it was designed, its a shame we treat it like a fast wasy to make myths.

That's why i tend to be as nice as possible in DF groups, we seem to get through it faster and there's no awkward "Wait... You're in my FC... Well crap." moments.

I like DF and DR. No matter what group I get I always tell them, we're going to take this a steady pace.

This is the best anyone should expect from DF. If it's not agreed to do a Speed Run before you begin, don't do a speed run until it's agreed. And if it's agreed, power to the party. However, you should also expect to occasionally have to teach people, to have to wait for cutscenes, to fail. This is the nature of what happens when people group together at random. So long as you remain open and positive, and above all else remember that all four people have paid to have fun playing this game, you should be okay. If you insist upon anything better than the unexpected, use Party Finder or party with people you know.

I'm curious. Did you feel bad because of what you said or because you now had to interact with this person again? Part of the reason people are so rude in DF is because they don't think there will be any consequences for what they do or say.

I don't disagree that he should not have run ahead and you were right to call him on it. I just think all of our experiences would be enhanced if we all operated on the assumption that we might have to see these players again.
