My fc is small with mostly new players, and trying to get anything done is impossible.

Anecdotal report that has no bearing on my own experience.

Never even been asked for i90.
Never had a problem running all content with full DL.

My own experience would suggest you didn't look very far, but of course that may just be me.

Try get a few more players to ur FC, both new and other players that want a progressing FC.
Once u have some players, progressing trough content goes realy fast, and its a very rewarding game experience imo.

Been working on titan for blm staff on my other char for 2 months now, full dl + garuda and know the fight and cant get in, either do to no relic already or cause its on blm. Even on my ilvl90 brd, cannot get ultima, ex fights and what not due to experienced only requirements. I cannot get near anything done on this char due to no relics at all yet, so df has been my friend for tomes. I can /sh and respond to shouters in md for hrs with no luck

It seems so easy for some and then they think there is no problems at all. But there are.

I'm happy to take in new and old players alike to get things done but so many ppl are established already and new players I pick up and help along leave the game before 50, those who stay are casual and barely on.

Maybe Im just in a funk. Meh

That's actually a legitimate thing for certain classes.

Gear comes later, but as BLM you should want to upgrade to zenith right away, if you want to be wanted more aggressively in end(ish) content.

Side question, whats your average ilv? 70 average is quite dandy for coil t4 or lower, and 75 for almost anything else.

It's just a shame to see the community gating itself. The root problem isn't so much with the gear as it is with the players. It's sad to see shouts TWO days after 2.1 released "LFM Garuda EX. ilvl85 or above. Experience required. If you don't have Zenith and made it past <insert phase here>, don't join and if you die more than x times, I'll kick you from party". Bear in mind this is two days after the patch released. Are people that desperate to clear content that they don't want help others learn? Let's say their shout works (which it doesn't. They can't get the people together because everyone things it's a gigantic joke and know they will probably wipe because they can't hold it together and rage quit), what would they be doing after they got their clears? Sitting in Mor Dhona crying about being bored and having nothing to do.

How can players get experience when no one will let them in without it? Their own circular logic only hurts them by asking for such stringent requirements.

I personally believe in paying it forward. If I had the choice between an undergeared player that's willing to learn, listens, and has a positive mindset versus a geared player who's arrogant and takes constructive criticism as a personal insult and rage quit after one wipe, I would take the former. The latter is free to make their own FC and stop shouting (or quit, I'm not picky).

This asinine mentality that our "Elitist/Hardcore" players have is hurting the community, new players, and most ironically, themselves.

This isn't a stab at anyone on the Forums or anyone specifically, it's just a request to treat everyone with patience and respect (as it costs nothing to be a decent human being) and in turn they will be treated the same.
