BRD still good post 2.1?

Bard is still amazing, 100% up time, near instant burst, aoe, burst(battle voice) raid damage or mana/tp regen, silence. They are the most versatile class and are number 1 at learning content. Sometimes they are less desirable when content becomes trivial or sometimes they become even more needed.

I am lvling BRD for the sole reason that I will be able to move and DPS and never lose up-time on boss. Plus, I'd love to have some more utility over what my DRG has :P Still very desirable

Bard is still good if you know how to play him! Mage Ballad didn't got nerfed and that is the most important song specifically for garuda ex etc. He is still a good DPS and i will stick to the class i choose like in other mmorps and i won't switch to the FOTM class because i hate players who do this. I want to master a class even if this class got/will be nerfed to the ground.

The Straight Shot/Bloodletter tooltip error scared people into thinking Bard got nerfed more than it actually did. As already stated, we didn't really need a nerf in combination of the melee buffs, but I think the nerf overall was less than 4% dps loss so yeah, the sky isn't falling or anything.

We still own on movement fights and still have very good burst, and MP song still welcomed as always.

Bards are still one of the most desired classes, and not just for their utilities, as many parties still prefer multiple bards over multiple melee.

I often find that Bard out-damage almost everybody because the majority of end-game content that actually matters involves so much movement that everyone loses a lot of DPS besides Bard. Not to mention the songs that are almost required if you aren't over-geared for everything (a random party finder group I joined today for Turn 1 had both healers out of MP by the time both snakes were at 10%. Mage's Ballad was invaluable.

If you make a Bard, never worry about being unwanted. The T1 group I mentioned before took 2 Bard for T2 because they wanted them for their silence. Bard was the only class they required.

It's the prequel to Fate/Stay Night, and spoilers heavily stuff in that VN, so I suggest playing it before watching the anime.
