I dont give a rat's ass if they used PS3 or 360 footage, as they have admitted to it and said that their games will be as great, then that's enough info for me to buy it.
Nintendo isn't notorious as Microsoft is for their Kinect screw-up.

YEAH! Nintendo can do no wrong, guys!
Except Virtual Boy. And making the N64 cartridge-based when everyone else was switching to disc-based media. And creating their own worst enemy in the PlayStation. And the botched deal with Philips. And the 64DD. And creating an underpowered console that needs a replacement further down the road to get up to par with current generation hardware. And having no real online solution on said underpowered console. And friend codes. And using footage from other consoles to try (and fail) to indicate what their console will be capable of in the future.
NO WRONG!
Good god the Virtual Boy.... my eyes..... for the love of god my eyes........YEAH! Nintendo can do no wrong, guys!

*cough* anyway, no company is perfect, but Nintendo is the best at turning poop into gold ;p
What keeps me coming back to Nintendo systems are the games I grew up with (yeah I know corny) If I could not play a Mario/Zelda/Metroid game every system I would die as a gamer inside. I have to place Super Smash Bros. in that list now as well, because since the N64 version, is has been one of my favorite fighters.
Alot of the hate people give for Nintendo is normally based off miss information and bias reviews. I know a few people that say the Wii is the stupidest thing ever, they never have even picked up a Wiimote, then they go back to playing their Halo or Call of Duty.... makes me sad really.
I would say that they're not that far off. I own a Wii, and while I think it's okay, it's not the incredibly awesome revolutionary gaming machine people think it is. The best games on it are mostly first-party titles, and even then the motion control elements tend to be clunky. As for third-party games, it's even worse (FUCK YOU, SKELETON PIRATES FROM ZACK & WIKI! FUCK, FUCK, FUCK YOU!).
The only reason Nintendo is going with this new iPad-style controller is that it's the only way to appease traditional gamers (and developers) who want traditional controls AND remain as the company that tries quirky new gimmicks.
I thought the Nintendo Press event was pretty good, but at the same time i am totally and completely pissed there is 0 news on 4 currently JP only titles. Earth Seeker, Pandora's Tower, Xenoblade, and of course The Last Story. I cannot imagine what the hell they are thinking and I hate how Nintendo always handles the ending phase of their consoles and handhelds.
You really love to exaggerate everything i effin say..YEAH! Nintendo can do no wrong, guys!

Nintendo isn't perfect, but they do not turn something that seems awesome into something that sucks shit. (Ex. Kinect, XBOX360)
Another thing is that Nintendo actually uses their goddamn imaginations/brains and develop new ways to play games, and not the same lackluster Controller and TV. Graphics are not the most important part of gaming, and that's the mistake these producers have a hard time realizing.
LOL @ you saying it already failed at delivering. In fact, I'm just about ready to believe you are a 360/Sony fanboy. The fact of the matter is, it doesn't really matter wtf footage they used on the Wii U. If they can't deliver on that, then yes, they have failed, and it wouldn't be the first time. Heaven forbid Nintendo try to find new ways to play games.
ok... I'm seeing people talking about Nintendo showing PS3 and or Xbox360 footage. This is fairly common practice and happens quite a lot.
For Instance Sony used Project Gotham Pictures when promoting the PS3

Square Enix used super imposed Xbox 360 buttons on PS3 FFXIII Images for promotion.

And Probably the best current example is all Battlefield 3 videos, demos and promotions are all PC footage, Nothing from either console has been shown.

to be far, your last one is not true, they did show PS3/360 vidoes, they where on the other smaller screens, it was just that they looked so much like the PC version a lot did not realize.
I am sure it will be fine, just a new controller to get used to, not like we had to do that before right? ;p
That and I see this controller feeling more comfortable when playing Mario Kart, then the Wiimote was.

No they did not Show PS3/360 videos of Battlefield 3, The President of EA said so himself when asked by Geoff Keighly durring a live interview on Gametrailers WHY they werent showing PS3 and 360 versions of the game yet.

You have this wicked vein throbbing in your forehead. Did you know that?
[lucas]I love the Power Glove. It's so bad.[/lucas]Nintendo isn't perfect, but they do not turn something that seems awesome into something that sucks shit. (Ex. Kinect, XBOX360)
Sure, experimentation is good. The motion control gimmick of the Wii brought some new and interesting ways to play games. I'd also say that it was a bit sketchy at times though; motions that require absolute precision to execute, or motions that were awkward or demonstrated poorly come to mind. Early games tended to suffer more than later ones though, but I guess that comes with the territory. On the other hand, how hard would it have been to create a traditional controller with the same motion controls in it? I'd say "not very", considering that's what Sony's Sixaxis controller was.Another thing is that Nintendo actually uses their goddamn imaginations/brains and develop new ways to play games, and not the same lackluster Controller and TV. I'll admit that the tablet controller is probably a great idea, as I think it'll be useful for implementing interface elements and the like. Hopefully it's not as awkward to hold as it looks.
Sorry, I'm part of the glorious PC gaming master race. KB&M for life, yo. :3LOL @ you saying it already failed at delivering. In fact, I'm just about ready to believe you are a 360/Sony fanboy.
