Crystal Tower [Requirements + Suggestions]

Hi there! Hope everyone is well and enjoying their holidays!

I posted this thread because I really only have 1 day and a half of the week to sit down and play this amazing game! (Saddens me but doesn't mean I will quit, enjoying it way to much)

I had 2 questions. I really want to try this Crystal Tower! But one what requirements are needed to get in? I know level 50 (which I have 2 of) and beat the story (which I have)

But I accepted the quest but already my time to play had run out and it was back to a busy work week (especially the holiday season being manager in a hotel )

>> What gear is suggested to run in the tower? I have AF Plate and Legs, with DL Arms, Belt, Vermilion Helm and Boots (I am PLD btw) with Unfinished Curtana (cant find a hydra group on times I am on) and Darklight Kite shield.

Would I be ok to try this dungeon with that armor or is it absolutely necessary to have only DL and Myth Tome Armor? Along with Relic weapon?

As well how about DPS suggestions (I have 50 DRG and Soon 50 MNK)

I am really excited to try this dungeon but really do not want be told I am shitty gear and do not belong their etc etc. It's bad enough I dont get time in the week to play but really want to try some new content!! I appreciate all the help in advance from anyone !!

It's four fates total, you'll get a quest for two more after the first two. They spawn around every 15 minutes. The first two are boss fights with a few adds, plus a couple random non-fate mobs around the spawn area. Can't really remember the second two, but they're probably the same kind of thing. When I did them, they were no problem with myself and 2-3 random people standing around.

Can't help you on the gear, haven't tried CT myself yet.

Gear wise I've seen people run it with AK gear that's the lowest I've seen I think so I'm guessing AK gear?

Ah ok , makes some sort of sense. I have the WP outside of DL so I was hoping it was good enough lol but I will take your advice

Well it is 53 or 55 overall average it says I believe (have to check again) but that simply is enough ? (I mean I am pretty confident in my game play skills on the game and haven't received any complaints ever in my ability to tank effectively)

Vermillion is fine, just dont volunteer to maintank the group bosses let one of the other 5 tanks do it
it gives myth tomes and i80 armor so each week you go in it'll get easier..

Lol sheepysheepy that actually makes a lot of sense. Maybe over the course of the weekend I will at least try it, and some of the other new HM dungeons! Very excited for all this new content!!
