Whenever I get Sunken temple, everyone leaves. Awful dungeon...

Speaking of Sunken Temple, has anyone else saw people stand on part of the environment (I think it's an elevated rock or something) to avoid doom? I had to do Sunken for story and the other 3 members stood on the elevated area the whole time and didn't have to work with doom mechanics while I tanked. I thought about leaving but stayed because SE deems some of the strangest things as legit and others as exploits and it would be a glitch in a level 35ish dungeon that half PUGs fail and it was also recycled for 50 story content. Sorry about rant I just hated everything about doing Sunken for 2.1 content even though I got a good group and we 1 shot everything. Anyone think standing on an elevated area to avoid doom is an exploit?

We tried that since the BLM in our group suggested it, but when we tried to do it, he said they patched it out. Assuming it still works, they either haven't realised it, or they don't think it's an exploit.

Yes, I've seen it. Done it, too. Haven't been in ST since the patch, though.

As far as whether it's an exploit, take a look at this thread.

While standing in this position and battling against the enemy isn't against the rules per say, and we don't plan on taking any action against those that do this, being able to play this way is not in line with the spirit of battle! We'd like to ask that you please submit this as a bug report and let the team know if you find anymore places like this so it can be adjusted.

Wasn't considered an exploit, but they did eventually fix it:

So submit a bug report if you're concerned about it.

Thank you for the replies ninthfantasy and Bixby. I probably did Sunken Temple Saturday or Sunday when the team used the environment to avoid doom mechanics. I don't have any screenshots or evidence and not submitting a bug report. I'm sure SE could see what happened there with my team if they wanted to as well. I remember a similar thing happening in the Dark Devices fate but didn't recall the specific details. It's good to know this is considered discouraged behavior but isn't an offense.
