After doing the duty roulette for the day, a thought immediately struck me upon completion - there's no point using duty roulette again until tomorrow!

So if the point is to encourage players to jump into all the dungeons and get some variety to their leveling experience, it'd be better if the mob exp was scaled to the player level and not the bonus exp.

Also, something really annoying about going into low lvl dungeon while leveling... is that the leveling exp is there to teach you how to use your class, as you get new skills, you get a few levels to learn how to use the skills.

Well... you go into low level dungeons, you lose all the skills that you've been gaining.

Especially bad as dragoon - learn the complicated rotation, only to be sent into Satasha, where all you do is spam impulse drive until your buttons break D:

Yeah, only doing it once per day is the most beneficial exp wise. After I've done my one I tend to just queue for whatever the highest is because of the per-mob exp.

This is exactly what I do. Roulette is useless after the daily bonus. Using it puts you in Sastasha 90% of the time and I have yet to have it put me in anything above Halatali.

There is a reason why the bigger exp is in the bonus exp and not in the total mob exp. SE has learned.
If the total exp from the monsters are higher than the bonus exp, people would leave the dungeon at the endboss to use the df roulette again without waiting until the next day.
The same happened with battle leves in 1.0 where people abandoned the leve before it finished to keep the leve in the journal, because the exp from the monsters in the leves were the best and much better than the exp reward the leve would give you for finishing it.
Everyone who played 2011 would still remember the names of these leves, especially "Dunesfolk for Dinner" ^^

I'm not saying that XP scaling should be something connected to the duty roulette.

Duty Roulette should still get bonus XP. Maybe 50k XP bonus @ lvl 40.

But instead, going into a lvl 15 dungeon should be as good exp wise as going into a lvl 40 dungeon for a lvl 40 player.

This means that players can continue using duty roulette to find random dungeons, and that they get a wider variety of leveling paths, instead of repeating 1 dungeon 6 times to get the 3 levels needed to get to the next dungeon.

The way the system is currently implemented... it's not better than FATE grinding.
