What's the Benefit to Finishing CT Once You Loot Your Item.

I ran it the day after the patch came out, got a piece, and haven't touched it since.

Myth is way easier to farm doing the Daily High Roulette, no point in CT whatsoever. If they removed the loot lockout I would farm it, but until then, I'm not touching it once I get my one piece. I might even bail on the whole dungeon once I get one piece if it's not going well, as it's structured to kind of praise that behavior.

You do get tomestones for clearing it, it's not a lot but if you find the dungeon fun then its an option. For most people you're probably not going to see the drop you want the first time you run the dungeon each week so there's going to be plenty of people running.

It drops roughly around 140 tomes of philosophy and 50 of mythology. The dungeon is easy enough that a few players that are horribly undergeared can join and make out with great upgrades. The reason anyone would do it is the same reason people do content they already beat. To help people and get tomes. You have FC members that need win, or you have friends that need an item or you are with 5+ people wanting to tome farm but are bored of CM and Pre runs, or maybe you want to spiritbond. I can give you hundreds of reasons why people would do this after getting a piece of gear but none of that would matter.

To be honest though the reason to do anything in a game is because it entertains you and you have fun. If you are not having fun then do not do it. You will always find rage quitters and people that leave runs after a certain boss,(since sastasha for plundered gear) but these are a minority. I think the lock out will be lifted come 2.2 or extended to 2 items per week. But till then, just enjoy the game.

Nothing fun about watching tanks let Iron Giants cleave the raid/comets. Nothing fun about people struggling to match colors and stand still on Atomos. Nothing fun about seeing people tunnel vision bosses and let adds run rampant. The encounters themselves are somewhat fun, if you have a decent party. Thing is, decent players don't have reasons to repeat CT runs after they've gotten their loot. Instead you get tanks who don't know to face cleaving enemies away, you get healers who refuse to use Cleric Stance and you get DPS who will tunnel vision and let your healers die in Iron Claws.

Running CT more than I have to just leads to general depression and hopelessness, which is the opposite of fun.

I would continue to help out the round with a big Smile on my face to help the rest of my team who don't deserve to be ditched because I've got what I wanted.

Yikes. It's attitudes like this that perpetuate bad behavior. You see the problem, yet you continue to be apart of it because everyone else does?

You don't solve the problem by being apart of it. Help out when you can spare it. Don't demand/expect compensation and you'll be happier in the long run. Be an asset and paragon of the community, not a drain and disease destroying it's foundation.

Besides, what else would you be doing? Sitting in RT doing nothing?

How does it praise that behavior when it locks you out for 30 minutes? Is it that bad that you rather wait 30 minutes than help for 30 minutes more?
