So hows BARD in PvP?

I remember the months to 2.1 everyone claimed BARD would be insanely over powered...

So what's the dealio? I haven't played the game in a while but I'm quite keen to return thanks to 2.1's content, hows the PvP and specifically, hows BARD?

They need to be buff there root only last 10 sec if you hit the person that you root it brakes are silence last 1 sec and healers and other class get skill that make immune from silence for 10 sec. There dps for pvp isn't bad but what will happen is you get ether sleep for 30 sec or rooted by a melee and will be foucs attck form everyone and wont be able to do anything about it because there root don't brake on attck. and its hard to kite as a bard the fact melee can easly run you down. honestly im thinking of rr my self

BRD is just fine IMO. I like having them around. Their only weakness is mostly the nerf to shadowbind. that hurts PvP a lot (while it doesn't really affect PvE at all, so it was obviously a pvp nerf), but their DPS is still very good.

Silence is to cancel a casted spell like Cure 2.

BRDs don't need a buff just because SMNs are broken. BRDs are fine where they are. Strong class with good versatility.

The OP asked how BRD is in PvP, so it is about that.

BRD has a nice kit, but anything BRD can do SMN can do better. SMN has more damage, stronger peels, and passive interrupts (pet). Add their -50% healing debuff, instant raise, and sprint-spam... it's obvious that SMN is substantially better.

If you get attacked it breaks" then why isn't it like that for other melee class then? what i am saying is i feel like bards don't have enough skills to help you keep distance form people. and mind you we are the only melee class with out a stun i mean even a slow would be nice . DPS is fine

Can you not use the Lancer cross class slow skill in pvp as a bard?
