I don't agree with the nerf at all, even though it wasnt game breaking. Well ROD was. I have run across people who go "oh its a brd we can't do it." Those people are stupid. That made me want to change until went into haukke with 2 brds and tore the place up. Was fun

Again i think its more toward the LB if anything, but I would like to point out. That people bitched about brds, cause they couldn't get a group, but when a brd can't get a group they just say suck it up.

It's funny how people contradict themselves. Pre nerf, 1 melee was brought for lb. Ppl complained that they only had 1 secured spot for melee dps in a party. Post nerf, people are telling bards to deal with it having only 1 secured slot in party. This forum community amuses me.

only time I've ever seen "no BRD" in a shout was when someone was forming a party for CT and wanted to get one of each class.

...I'd imagine the only time literally any person ever has seen "no BRD" is something similar (there's already a bard present and he doesn't want to share loot)

Well that quote doesn't confirm Bard becoming a true support class, it just says the support role will be available eventually. For all we know SE's plan could be to just add totally new jobs as support roles and leave the current ones alone.

Yes half of my statement was an assumption. The reason it isn't (In my opinion) is because duty finder queues are tough as they are and if they hybrid role was added with only 1 type of hybrid class, then it would be terribly long queues. Once another Hybrid role is added I am sure (again my opinion) Bard will be switched to Hybrid role. The reason I am saying support, is because that is what it does. It provides buffs, no healing, just buffs as its "hybrid" counter part.

And asking an MMO not to change seems silly when they have a life span of 10 years and we already saw drastic changes to Warrior. Games change and you need to learn to adapt.

That's true but even thought hey queued up as dps they had a healer LB. it seemed pretty clear they didn't have a clear picture what brds were supposed to be. But at its design it's supposed to be a support class before a DD.

Looks to me like a DD with support, not a support with some DD (ie cleric stance whm or sch).

In the future you'll have musketeer, and you can be the long rang projectile DPS job you want to be. Right now you are a Bard, there for support. Yes, you deal damage, but offer utilities other DPS cannot. Therefore it is only truly logical you do not perform as well as them at damage dealing.

The topic is moot. This is what they did. They are not reverting back.
