Actually, this is not a city at all - 'eld' is in fact an archaic way of writing the word 'old', so hence the quote on the FFXIV website about BRDs being 'minstrels of eld', is in fact really saying 'minstrels of old', and just refers to them in a past tense. A lot of such old English phrases and spellings in the game are confusing players (I mean, how many people keep getting caught out on 'must needs' all the time? ).

As for the actual thread topic, I think a few new Jobs would be probably more featuring nations outside Eorzea as their source/origins, as it would be a convenient way of explaining how a new Job suddenly appears in Eorzea which has never been mentioned or seen before - it can simply be handwaved away that the Garlean Empire suppressed such Jobs in their homelands and thus with recent events, knowledge of them has started to trickle out into Eorzea into the hands of a new generation, or something.
