BRD are support class, not dps. u need just for song.

Not since the release of 2.0 it has been a strong dps class. Now if you want to give them back their aoe healing songs for hp and the ability to cast cure and raise in battle than yes I can see them more a support class. Right now besides a tp or mana song as buffs a smn can do more since they can battle rez and cast physic to cure people.

It doesn't make sense to patch it, its not like they don't test these jobs out with all available cross class abilities, gear, etc.... so why the changes, it would be almost as dumb as saying, "PLD defense is too high, they are not taking enough damage when fighting enemies" seriously, they decided how much base dmg to give when they created the game, they decide n everything, if they are not testing it to start with and making necessary adjustments then am I to believe we are STILL in a beta testing phase.

I cannot educate you in how a game company develops and manages an MMORPG game. Suffices to say this is how MMORPG games are worked. SE decided this is what is best and while we can give input on these changes which I am sure they appreciate it, they are here to stay until they decide something else will work better.

I always try to maximize diversity in any party I'm in, prioritizing everything else. In my ideal party, that'd look like WAR, PLD, WHM, SCH, BLM/SMN, BRD, LNC, MNK. This not only maximizes general stat buffs that a party gets, but also grants a bonus to receiving Level 2/3 LBs and I personally believe that using a wide array of different abilities is far superior to having a bunch of the same class using the same skills over and over. There is potency in diversity.

Brd was as intended and for all intensive purooses a support class. Your lb is a heal ffs. Get on with it.

That's odd people are always asking for bards for stuff on Hyperion:

Coil T1, T2, T5
Garuda Extreme
Ifrit Extreme

The only time I've seen no bard shouts are when they want to make sure they have a DD LB aside from SMN+BLM's already in their party. A lot of people running Titan Hards like to make sure they have 2 melee for LB in case one is gaol'd (not that they should need it but they do this).

I hope when we eventually get an expansion, that they raise the dungeon party cap to 5 and add support Jobs to the game. Bard, Dancer, Red Mage, ect.

You're idea sounds nice in your head, but with our current system that version of Bard would be forced into the Healing roll. A Healer who could not only heal but buff damage and mana regeneration would throw off the current balance of healing endgame 4 man dungeons. That would cause needless drama.

Ranger would be cool though, but since they’re adding Musketeer someday, it may be awhile before we see this class added.

In my server, alot of people still bring at least one brd If not two Either for unconditional damage, songs, or silence.
