Housing Clarification Regarding Future Plans/Workshop

I would also like to know, when I bought this game the biggest thing i was looking forward to was Housing and breeding Chocobos, however at the time i didn't realize all the fun stuff wasn't in the game at release... I really need to know if I should start saving my money now for personal housing and give up trying to help my FC get a House. Or if these features will even be included in FC housing.

Aye, same questions here.
Me and my girlfriend, mostly interested in crafting and chocobo raising, got a FC, and close to a million gil (fortunately on Cerberus - cheap server).
Could get enough gil for a small house in a month I reckon, but really want to know what the additional perks for the medium and larger properties will be.
Or also if it is worth waiting until personal housing comes out in stead.
Will there be any advantage to it being personal or FC house?

And anyway, small houses are insanely small. I mean, they are like an inn room! Even smaller I think. Who come up with this...? It's supposed to be for a FC....

There's a small, medium and large house on tonberry and after looking at all of them I can confirm only the medium and large have basements. There's no way a small can fit anything like a workshop, it looks like a japanese-sized apartment and is pathetic compared to medium and large.

then again there no basement which i hope small house get revamp to get slight bigger with basement

Haha nah, I was just checking out mist. There was a pool party in elvellon basement just before with about 30 random squatters.
