Its always been here. These forums are by far, the worst I've ever seen for a game, outside a few free to plays.
Square-Enix LOVES pointless limitations. Everything they design is filled with them. Its like an obsession that no matter how cool they design something, someone among them needs to insert an artificial limitation, due to some backward logic, that only they think makes sense.

1000 character limit makes conversation miserable, all but eliminating the ability to quote reasonably.
20 posts per day max, limits contribution for absolutely no reason.

About the only thing these people didn't limit was how many times a gil seller could fill up in game chat.
Its like they go out of their way to inconvenience players.

They can hot fix any exploit right away, but things like item sorting buttons had to wait months.

Exactly.
If a limitation is making player miserable? Ignore it or make it worse.
If players are enjoying, or will enjoy something, put a limit in there!

Yeah, at 1st I thought I was in a "probation" but apperantly you can post a max of 20/day at lv 45+ (could be wrong here)

Its a bit silly locking out the general forums. This is the only forum I know that limits your post per day, especially considering each lv have a limit
