alchemy level 50 is hot garbage

I leveled alchemy first because it was needed and boy did I get burned for that. comfort zone is completely utterly useless. if and only if you spend 10 steps making something then you get... 14 cp!. so nothing. and if you take less than 10 steps then you shouldn't even use it.

now compare this to weaving which gives you a 120% synthesis that cannot fail for no cp. leveling weaving first gives you such a massive advantage in all other DoH classes, no matter what. alchemy can't even be used since beginner stuff only gives you 40 durability! weaving is so powerful that if you level anything else first you are doing it wrong. especially if that thing is alchemy.

Since I make everything in 20-30 steps, I love Comfort Zone. I can use it twice, sometimes three times and its just free CP. Its not amazing, but hey, it doesn't hurt either. I'd agree though, Alchemist is damn near useless. It was my second class to 50, after Goldsmith. Haven't touched it in about a month.

Comfort zone is completely amazing for any crafts were you are going to be doing 30~ steps to hq.

weaving is so powerful that if you level anything else first you are doing it wrong.
A lot do carpentry first actually for byregot's.

I am guessing you are new to crafting?

That "useless" extra CP is what makes a lot of rotations viable, or at least viable without a shite ton of expensive materia. I agree that when I got it first, it felt underwhelmin', but it just takes more plannin' to utilize to its full potential than say, Careful Synth II.

As for Alchemy itself, I find I'm usin' it more an' more to make HQ Potions. It was my main source of income for awhile too, though with the free potions from dungeon chests it's all but dried up here.

I'd agree with the debate, Weaver should be your first 50 and Culi to 37 should be next.

SH II and CS II for leveling is hands over fist easier than spamming fails with the 70% starting touch skill. In addition to knowing you can't fail Synth in those opening levels you can focus on higher exper through quality.

Comfort Zone is not a remarkable leveling tool but it is core to 50 crafting. It's pretty much a conclusion you will be grinding 550 levels to make crafting work at all. 400 craft, 150 Gather. From a logistics perspective, you are really half way to making your own shark Oil. Armorer still wins in the absolute garbage, 50 skills.

so when I have all of my doh classes at 50 and am making very high end gear I might actually have a use for comfort zone?

oh boy. I better sit down or something, I don't know if I can handle the excitement. well I guess someone has to take it in the pants.

There's nothing wrong with comfort zone. No it's not as good as Byregot's or Careful 2 but nothing is.

Yeah, it would be nice if there was more balance between DoH cross-skills, but even if they did start doing that Comfort Zone would be pretty low on the list of priorities (try cooking's literally completely useless level 50 etc.).

Prior to this point Byregot's Blessing is cosmetic as well. Great Strides, Advanced touch works much better in pre 50 cases. Waste Not II is all but pointless before 1star 40 dura synthesis and only useful when combined with other 50 class skills.

Gsm level 37: Flawless Synthesis: Increases Progress by 50. Success Rate: 90% -2 point Synthesis -
Armorer 50: Piece by Piece: Increases remaining progress by 1/3. Success Rate: 90% - Can never be used as a stand alone to complete a Synthesis -

I will say it again, who got boned?
