It's all about kill order and organization.
"Only the victors are allowed to live. This world is merciless like that."-Mikasa Ackerman
"Wouldn't it be good to forget everything even if it's just for tonight? Indulge in pleasure...breathe a sweet poison deep into your lungs."
"Hatred and sorrow are power. They are yours to control. All you have to do is turn them into strength and use that strength to move forward." ~Sebastian Michaelis

did it through DF, first try...
Larek Darkholme @ Ragnarok
beat him after about 3 wipes on first run through and he dropped smn book. Since then have tried multiple times and it's been wipe after wipe on second part if we get that far. about half the time we did to resurrection flare. On first run tank marked the charmer?pld and told healers to keep well away from him and we did fine. Prior to that they would run right into him get charmed and we'd wipe. You have to keep moving because of all the aoe. We had a drg rage quit complaining that the dps weren't carrying their weight. You can have all the dps in the world and it's not going to do you any good if you can't avoid flare.

People must have gotten really lucky on the DF then, as this seems really unfriendly to PUGs. I find Ultima way easier.
A lot of the time I explain the strategy to everyone, then someone leaves after 2nd try or something anyway :/
It sounds like a lesser version of the last phase of Turn 4 really - a lot of different enemies rampaging about that need to be tamed by the tanks and picked off quickly. Once their numbers start thinning out it becomes a lot easier.
The beginning of phase 2 when the King comes is the biggest hurdle of the fight tbh. I think I'm just gonna quit DF'ing it until enough of my FC are around to do it (and have unlocked it).

So what is moggle-go-round? I can never seem to figure out whether it's raid-wide or actually targets an area. It's just the whole arena becomes like a dark green and this moggle starts to go crazyass all over it.
I thought I read somewhere (cant remember where) that the only mogs who actually aggro during phase 2 are the king and pld/ war. The other just kind of wander around and target whoever gets close. Haven't really watched for it during trial as there's so much stuff going on.People must have gotten really lucky on the DF then, as this seems really unfriendly to PUGs. I find Ultima way easier.

I don't like the order i have see.
We focus first the white mage, then the thief, then the brd etc.
But what we most do is :
Phase 1 : chain silence / stun the BLM mog for fill the LB when phase 1 end you have nearly lv 2 up.
Then do the same at phase 2 when lb 3 up, launch a awesome meteor and all the mob + king, every mog lost like 60% HP, burst them all, kill the king, be happy.

Mark your mobs in phase 1, the marks stay after they revive.
