Question about houses

The short answer: There are currently 450 houses available per server, which generally is more than the number of FC's that can reasonably expect to afford one within the next 3-6 months.

Once SE realizes it's a major game developer and that they actually need, and can easily afford, the pittance of server space needed to accomodate this rather lackluster feature, there will be more space available. Until then, we will have to simply sit and give Yoshi incredulous looks when we don't believe his BS about needing more than two weeks for servers for features planned for over the past six months.

In the larger scope, there are upwards around twice that (900+) FC's on a server, depending on population. If any one of the 'tiny' ones happens to host a legacy character with a massive bankroll, expect to see a lot of "Personal" homes pop up, particularly among the small lots.

There is competition currently among the populated servers to see who gets 'established' in the first five districts before the SE team 'gets around' to installing more servers, so depending on what server you're on, be ready to get bullied for space as these are relatively unique posessions to obtain. This is only temporarily (and heavy-handidly) suppressed by the prices for the time being.

Well quite frankly, I thought there would be houses available for the individuals. So I don't care much for the houses, if they are just for FC's

Wealthy players that aren't particularly beholden to an FC (not a raider-type) can, or already are, in a surprisingly small FC, and can more or less single-handidly buy their own place. How big of a property is simply a matter of the pricing deprecation, the size of their wallets, and how badly they want to take up space and make a personal, rather than team, mark on the server.

If there's only enough lots for half the FC's on a server.. then, yes, there's a backwards bidding war going on while everyone waits to see how long they can hold out for prices to drop. Once FC's start buying land, it goes open season for ideal sizes and locations.
