Gearing advice sought!

So i've asked around on my server, but no one speaks English -_-

I have full HQ i55 PvP gear, my relic and i90 chest and head PvE gear.
What should I replace first with i70 PvP gear? The i55 stuff or my PvE stuff?

Wondering the same thing myself, does moral make the i55 stuff better than i90 PVE gear. Is it detailed anywhere how exactly moral is calculated out?

I've saw a monk do like 15k damage in a pvp match and he had full i90 pve gear and relic +1. Not a single pvp piece. And that was against ppl wearing i55 pvp set.

So, I think there's a balance in there somewhere. I've been running with i90 pve where possible, and fill the rest with i55 pvp gear. Also, when buying your i70 pvp stuff, I'd just replace the i55 pvp gear. Don't replace i80 or i90 pve until all the 55's are replaced, IMO.

This is all assuming that you are basically full DL and relic +1, or better.

Hmm I wouldn't say 15k is that high, depends on the duration of the match. I quite often do over 10k on paladin (In my PVE gear).

I tried replacing some i90 stuff with i55 PVP gear, didn't notice a difference. Of course that could just be because I'm paladin. I did however replace all my tanking accessories with i55 strength PVP stuff.

In the match I referenced, the next highest damage was like 10k... which was a SMN. They usually have less trouble because they continue dps even when the target LoS or is too far.

The basic gist is, i90 pve (and even 80) is still good in pvp, just replace it last. I think that's good advice in general though... I always upgrade the "weakest link" anyways.

Aye, but what if all your armour is i90? is it worth changing any of it to i55. That's what I'm wondering. i.e is moral good enough to cover the stat loss

It's probably too early to say until some of the hardcore ppl out there does the math, but by my experience, full i90 pve is more than good enough until i70 pvp. Prob is, the grind is insane atm. 62 wolf marks on a win... into 8000 + for a body or leg piece at 90. Thats a long time

Might wanna consider what your enemy's are wearing as well. Cause PvE gear vs PvE gear makes the answer of what's better clear but when you start fighting others that are in pvp gear and such. The stats change. Also melding pvp gear has a nice boost as well.

Also 15 is really low, most my games that are around a minute and a half I do around 21k.

I've been wondering this as well and I'm sure various hypothesizes are being tested, guess we just have to wait for a definite answer. For now, I run with full pvp gear since I am under the impression moral heavily contributes to damage and mitigation.
