issue I think will be that Yoshida-San won't pay it much heed for a while... not until players start canceling their subs, I for one still have a bit to do on the game before I get bored but I can't say the same for all those full myth binding coil players... what do you do when you've beaten the hardest dungeon in the game but your still no where near owning a house?

Mr. Yoshida-San,
Why don't your make it were a free company's can own only 1 land/ house? Pretty simple but get this if they want a bigger house later on they can buy an upgrade land plot so they can own a larger house in the end. they keep the same land and will be able to upgrade there house size in the end witch gives people more to look forward to longer in the game. Just trying to help out the smaller FC's. Also 3 months is a long time your basically expecting your fans to pay 47.95 and endless hours of our time so we can have a house later on or join a FC right away with 200+ people to get a house? Im not sure how many people are like me but i play because i love final fantasy and i love playing with FRIENDS, so i dont want to leave my FC that contains my friends to move to some FC thats 200+ players that i dont know at all and more likely wont have an opinion on how the house will look. I hope you read this and thank you for your time and hard work.

You grind none stop and then get claimed for being a bot in witch you then don't get a house. or you do Russian roulette everyday and get tired of it.

While I think the housing price situation is a complete disaster, I think the response given in the "Regarding Housing Price" post is insulting.
First of all, the "Fundamental Pricing Stance" is not only utter nonsense, but a clear example of a paper tiger defense in a poor attempt to cover for the fact that there aren't currently enough servers to handle too many people buying up land and building houses.

Please understand that while we will be adding servers and expanding housing areas as soon as we can, it is simply physically impossible for us to accomplish this easily, in a matter of one or two weeks.

And so, once again the players, your paying customers, are made to suffer for a lack of hardware. Have no lessons been learned from similar situations yet?

Of course the other half of that truth is hidden away in all the explanations of the "extensive survey of the Eorzean economy". I'd wager that what all that really meant was that you all are desperate to take money out of circulation across the board, and this seemed like a good way to do so.
Of course the most disturbing facet of this entire fiasco is the fact that you admit that you guys did this intentionally, and then you have the sheer audacity to flat out tell some players, ALL of which might I remind you PAY you money to play your game, that they unfortunately will most likely not be able to enjoy this content.

Due to the prodigious amount of gil in circulation in legacy Worlds, we regret that current housing prices may be prohibitive to the following players:

•Those new to the game who started on legacy Worlds
•Those returning to a legacy World after taking an extended break
•Those on a legacy World who have been unable to save gil

Here's a free tip. While the people who fall into this category in your game might not, according to you, have enough funds to enjoy this particular content in your game, they do in fact have enough funds to pay for the subscription to the game and this isn't exactly a great way to win them over and keep those renewal subscriptions rolling in. So that leaves the rest of us with this gem:

So let me make sure I have this right. You guys put out all this publicity for Free Company housing going back months, you spend hours talking about all the little details of the content in Letters to the Producer LIVE, you get the entire player community hyped up about all the great times they will have decorating the houses, building airships in the workshop, you tout Free Company housing as a hallmark of the very first major update of the game...All this, and when it comes time to unveil this new remarkable content all we get is absurd prices for the content to the extent that almost nobody can take part and enjoy it and a flippant admission that you guys apparently never even planned on letting us enjoy this content until 3 months from now?!

It pains me greatly to say this, but you should all be embarrassed and ashamed of this situation and they way you have treated the community, your customers, in this regard. As a long time and loyal supporter of this game from back in 1.0, I sincerely hope you and the design team can take this feedback and do right by the gaming community that supports you.

Fundamental Pricing Stance[INDENT]Our fundamental stance toward housing prices was that we wanted to ensure that plots would be evenly distributed, avoiding a situation in which the wealthiest players could easily buy up all available plots of land.

all the wealthy players tend to come from major free companies, so just limit each free company to 1 plot and there should be plenty to go around.currently though, and even with your future predictions, the smaller free companies are suffering (I'm in an english FC on a japanese server so I'm already screwed) for fear of something easily fixed, this will eventually result in small free companies disbanding to join bigger ones that can afford housing leaving you with no more than 10 free companies on a server thus wasting a lot of the empty plots and a lot of the SE staffs efforts.

Only a Master of a FC can but a house right...? Why does there even have to be a housing market? If you really want one then make it so a FC can only have a max of 2 deeds at once. Or you know, start it off with a FC only being able to have 1 lot, cause you know, that actually makes sense... That logic i could see applying to personal housing, but FC housing? That's just fucking stupid. Just admit to a mistake Yoshi, and make your players happy.
