the bigger the house, the more girls you can invite to come over for parties.
I always thought people were aware that buying a house isn't exactly to get some sort of in-game benefit.
But you get in-game benefits. Building an airship and get access to content that is only accessible by airship? Raising your own chocobos that might be used for racing in the future? And probably more things.
But again... we don't really know because the developers haven't told us.
Please tell us.
I can already see a HUGE amount of complains than ever coming if this is true.
I might have misinterpreted what you said before, but regardless....But again... we don't really know because the developers haven't told us.
Please tell us.
Stop trying to have players tell you what they don't know... This would be inside information from Square Enix. False information has already been fed through live-letters and what not. So, if you want a real answer once again, a rep of SE needs to answer you.
They said they wanted to implement those things, but from there to them actually doing it is different, Sounds like a huge load on the development resourses. And well, stress on servers, considering that they can't even host enough houses for everyone (one of the reasons for the high prices, aside from wanting to drain the gil from the market).
Once we can't help you much. Relax >_>
To add something I forgot, also you have the crafting workshops (and supposedly they also might give some buffs to crafting etc that you can activate). You'll be able to have a farm to cultivate some materials. Breed chocobos. And alllll these kinds of fantasies that seem little feasible at the moment.
So in reality, possibly not even Square Enix knows what they will add. Workshop more likely will be there, airships? I highly doubt it. (worth playing ones anyway, silly animations don't count, mayhaps you'll get a personal instanced airship with some fake background... NO, all game is real. Animations on the background are just a lie!

Bumping cause I too want to know if there is any benefits Large houses get over Medium size.
It has been said already. Medium and Large houses have 3 floors (ground floor, first floor and basement)... Small houses are of the size of an inn room (plus the backyard). All of the houses have backyards and their sizes are relative to the house size.
Difference between medium and large size is just the size of the stories. Bigger floors for large.
Also, certain items are only available for a certain size of house (specifics to small, medium and large).
while small size houses can only hold up to 40 items, this number increases significantly for medium and large houses.
Difference between first and fifth class plots (available for each size of land) is the location of the house, and the landscape available from it, being fifth class the least desirable (on SE eyes anyway) and first class the better one.
Well I had seen a video going around of a large size house of first class. But can't find it, if I do I'll come back and edit this.
