It's very easy if everyone coordinates but if they don't it can be an absolute nightmare. King Behemoth: Both our groups tanks we're on pillar duty but the tanks from the other groups just down right refused to control the iron giants and face them away from the group which resulted in everything in sight being cleaved to bits xD

We cleared it first go with more than half the people being first timers. I was an idiot though cause I greeded on something that I really didn't want only to have the freakn Healer Body that I wanted drop. This lock out is stupid.

For most their job is just sitting down hitting and getting aggro (well, if they don't forget and go DPS, sure) and bitching at all others. It's so cool when they bitch because we target a different mob without them having marked anything.

I can see why. It absolutely infuriates me when someone wants me to go at there pace without asking. I like to go at my own pace as a tank. It annoys me when a DD or a heal runs ahead and pulls the mob just cause they think it makes it faster. It doesn't.

It gets tiring and you want to deal with it less. So you either force them to listen to you or you leave cause you know you can just get another party very easily.

When I tank with these people, I let them die. You wanna set the pace? You wanna tank? then play a freaking tank. If you want to try going a little faster, let me know and I can get it done. Don't try to tank, it slows everything down and messes with the aggro tables. I would love to play dps and would gladly switch roles with you, but the wait times are waaaay too long, so I usually end up tanking unless I run stuff with my FC (and even then, I usually tank).

Pretty much. I tank for my irl friends, and I do random tanking in the queues. Even before roulette I'd toss myself in on stuff like Brayflox's Longstop, Stone Vigil, and Sunken Temple of Qarn just because I knew tanks were in short supply and people may be stuck there with those instances. Even then I'd be as nice as I could, but I have a short tolerance for absolute idiocy. I may not know the intricacies and details of every job, but I'm pretty sure when I mark kill order that good sense would say you don't spam AoE on #2 expecting the other DPS to take out #1 and everything will die identically and you not pull any hate. SMNs used to make my life hard DoTing everything and unloading Ruin on whatever I'm not targeting. You can only split up so much threat in a Rage of Halone combo before you get overtaken on something.

If you're new, I'll help you out. If you're unsure, I'll answer questions. If you need help, I'm there. But like you said expect me to pull and set the pace and if we're killing faster than I'm pulling I'll step it up. I won't risk a wipe to beat some imaginary clock in your head.

Then instead of bitching just explain that you are the tank, not them and that it is your job, not their. I've never seen it happening in a long time in lvl 50 DFs anyway. The couple of times it happened it is because someone hit the wrong key/button by mistake. The tanks are always ahead as they must be.


In any case no one is justified to bitch at others in the DF. If they wanna play safe they must make their own party. Once I've got bitched even because I was watching the cutscene in a main story DF!! The idiot wanted to do a "speed run". At lvl 30 or so?!
