Will Minstrel give us eventual Darnus access?

Seeing how easy it is to simply throw in boss fights...why not? I'm pretty sure they have it planned somewhere down the line.

It wll not. that fight was specifically stated to be exlcusive to the 6UE story line and will not be repeated again. It won't be brought back "because fun." or for any other reason. Exclusives should stay exclusive, otherwise promises are being broken. (I'm looking at you goobbue mount).

As someone who missed out on that fight, I'd be first of the flock that would love to experience that battle.

Ultima Weapon is dead too, The Wandering Minstrel can let us relive such battles because he is effectively just telling a ballad recounting the battle. Darnus wouldn't be brought back, we'd just be redoing the battle because fun.

Did you beat Turn 5? It'd be much more clearer as to why Darnus "revisited" wouldn't make much sense, especially considering the one time nature of it (We've yet to relive any storyline related to the 7th umbral era.) It'd be fun, but we already had the two versions of it. The Retelling of Ultima Weapon is basically just an excuse to incorporate a Hard Mode to Ultima fight and having a darnus would would heavily contradict just about everything, even some present storyline.

So if they do it, they may as well reincorporate every storyline element from 7UE in the next set of main storyline quests or it just simply wouldn't make sense why we get the battle. Heck they even properly explained Hard Mode Haukke Manor.

Wasn't 1.0 and the fall of Dalamud the end of the 6th Astral Era? 7UE is 2.0's main storyline. Also, it wouldn't contradict anything in the storyline if the darnus battle is just in the Wandering Minstrel's imagination, like the Ultimate Weapon hardmode.

Yep, the GC storyline in 1.23 was related to the coming of the 7UE, which is where we fought Darnus twice.

I believe it was stated that Darnus was dead and was never coming back no matter what. But meh, who knows.

how about just have the Minstrel sing the Ballad of the Darklight Raiders and have us take on the Chimera that wiped them all out?

So basically like Caverns of Time? An easy excuse to create content set in pretty much any point in Hydaelyn's history.

I'd love to see Darnus, though I know they did say he wasn't coming back. They could have changed their minds. Or maybe always planned for him to come back.

And though this one is a longshot (upgraded from the hookshot) I'd love to see the world of 1.0 come back in some form. Maybe an expansion that let's you go to the past. Like Wings of the Goddess in FFXI.
