The new data centers and duty finder matchmaking

Has this been altered? It get the impression that europeans are no longer matched with US players in the duty finder. Currently no life-ing it at 3 AM GMT and the queues are astronomic compared to how I had it during earlier hours.

queue's are horrible now. Normally I waited 20 or so minutes for a party, now I waited near 40-50 minutes. Crystal tower went into 97 minutes, restarted party creation like 7 times etc. requeued thinking it was a bug, 60 minutes later still no party and i checked it several times. It got close to full party, with 2 members missing like 6 times again. Sigh. Then with a 5 man group, we queue for ultima and only need 2 healers and 1 tank and we had to wait 20 minutes!

Whatever they did to DF it isnt working great at all. Dungeon roulette however pops within 20 minutes =/

I don't see a difference. CT worked in like 8~10 minutes.

A lot of the issue with Ultima and CT is that you're going to frequently encounter static parties who need only 2-3 pick-up members. It makes for an awkward pairing, because the system can't just swap them around as needed to get as many complete groups as possible. Roulette fixes this, but there's absolutely no real solution for the harder fights, because people aren't going to want to do them as much via DF.

They divided the datacenter from a one big group in many smaller groups. The problem is, the EU servers are in one own group. It would be better if they mixed EU servers and NA servers in the groups so EU players can still play with NA players during the night.

Confirmed. DF performance is the same garbage we had on 2.0

When I got on two days ago on low level roulette, I saw the average wait time was 5 minutes. I was like "OMG" and instantly became a dungeon and duty finder fan. I come back yesterday and the average wait is back 50+ minutes. Total bummer. It's obvious to me now that the wait time is the biggest deterrent to this feature for people who don't have/want static groups.

Weird.........As a black Mage I had long wait times in Duty Finder, Pre-patch (45 mins).Now after 2.1 I'm getting in Wanderer's Palace in 10 mins or less!

People can't have it both ways though, can either be on EU server and live with the EU peak or pick NA and have it a bit quieter during early evening, but
busy all through the night.

There's been lots of requests for an EU datacentre, and separating the EU servers within the NA datacentre would be a step towards that direction. Perhaps this is a hint that there will soon be a dedicated EU one?

Plus I'm sure lots of people would complain about PvP matching between players in EU and NA too if it wasn't this way.

Personally, I'm in the UK, but I don't play on an EU server anyway. Made that mistake once in 1.0 when they offered free jumps to Ragnarok, and ended up rolling a new character back on an NA server, because there was no world transfer then and I missed my friends from my old world.
