whats wrong with addons?

Nothing is wrong with addons in and of themselves, unfortunately the potential for community abuse and reliance on them is very very high. Personally, I like addons, I find them as useful tools to help me measure myself and improve, or for cosmetic things like making my UI how I want it.

That's mostly what I use AddOns for, I could really care less about functionality addons like DPS meters/etc. I just want to tweak my GUI to be more visually appealing to me. Right know it feels very... clunky and weird to me.

Cause it is, it's functional, yes, but it leaves a lot to be desired really, I like that they added the ability to make things smaller, but good lord, allow me to move the chat box already on my PS3, and let me make the text in it smaller if I want to.

Just what we need, more support for the elitists wanting to use dps meters and bots to get ahead of everyone else by having everything be easymode. Want to 1 shot pug Twintania and EM primals in AH gear? Just download this addon! (Addons) (No thanks)

OMG what ass backwards game is this where you cant see your targets health as a number? what is this ugly ass UI which the community could do a better job updating?

Not all addons are dps meters and addons are bots

Things I desperately want as Add-ons:

• Full 100-slot inventory display, full 175-slot retainer display
• Really customized inventory management, like locked slots, auto-sell Allagan coins, auto-repair everything etc
• Info add-ons like "this is used for 3 recipes in ALC, BSM" or "this costs X myths"
• Proc notification, for people who know: Power Auras
• Customizable combat text addon, for people who know: MSBT

I thought you already can?

The smallest you can set the text is to 12, and to me, it's still bloody huge. And on PS3(Which is what I'm on), not sure about PC, you can resize the chat box, but you cannot move it.
