You're a tank in a DPS fight, so you do what our classes do best: keep the targets locked down. Silence/stun rotations, decrease stats, blind and when you unlock PVP abilities AOE knockback off your healer. You're not a DPS and nobody is expecting you to be, but you CAN be a CC clutch and do what DPS you can when able.

    Protips:

Turn Defiance off after blowing Unchained early.
Wear dps gear because you will never, ever be focused.
Create pressure with your stuns and team dps to coax cooldown use, then wait for another stun and blow cooldowns with Holmgang.
    Profit.

this is what i hate about that move, im already rank 11 and just been going through matches nonstop...and i have to say there has to be a fix for it. When they are pulled directly to me, they either get stuck on the pillar or the other side of the wall and I cast that move before they even turn the corner...its awesome to use in the open, horrible to use near any object that can get in the way, and a total waist.

I don't know what the hell you guys smoking I'm at 75% win rate over 76 games. Almost topping damage on kills and damage. Highest comebacks as Warrior, and I'd didn't even bother to downgrade myself to Marauder for more PewPew. Some of you are just so bad at doing stuff.

After using Holmgang ends Warrior useless? FFS learn to switch target and learn to burst. This game ain't bloody rocket science, you have 2.5 seconds to think your next move. Warrior/Marauder role is to assist burst down. Paladin's job is to peel. Most of my matches end in 1.5-3 minutes where I average from 9k to 20k damage. Whilst only a very well played Lancer can hope to achieve my numbers.

For PvP Skill first Invest on : Purify > Enliven > Full Swing (Go to town) > Purify (+1) > Enhance STR (Max) > Enhance VIT (Max)

Full Swing is to be used co-currently with Storm Eye, macro it if you will.
Enliven is to be used to Sprint and then get TP back to chase down.
Purify well is to either followup for a kill a dispel yourself from a CC when your healer can't help you with it. Also removes Pacification from Berserk.

Pretty much your setup will be go in Heavy Swing > Internal Release > Maim >Brutal Swing > Berserk > Storm Eye + Full Swing > BB combo > Holmgang > BB combo > Mercy Stroke. Most things should fall if they don't have heals and don't break your combo chain. It is crucial for your to lead the PvP party, make good decisions. Like if your team is weak on sleep go for their healer, if not go for BLM > SMN > BRD > MNK > LNC > TANKs.

Target swapping is essential to surprise enemy healers who tunnel vision. If chasing a healer won't work and the BLM/SMN/BRD stray near swap to him. Mark your target always. 4 for Tanks, 3 For heals (1 if he is your kill target), 2 for 2nd kill target. Always do SE > BB combo, cause the healing reduction on SE is very important to put pressure, also keep pressure by Tomahawk-ing. Currently my Tomahawks can hit for 500 damage with Berserk up, I'm probably going to swap to MRD once I get to Rank 30 (Currently Rank 11 with 75% win rate solo queue could manage better if in a group)

Another tip is do not stick on a target for more than 30 seconds. Cause your brutal swing DR'ed too much and the 5 seconds stun every 20 seconds could be better used somewhere. A good SCH is a very tough opponent when he knows how to rotate Miasma 2 and Blizzard 2, and your SE doesn't work well on him cause Lustrate is HP% based. To kill a SCH you need to have pressure, enough for him to blow 3 of his Aetherflow before his CD is up. As for WHM they don't pose much of a threat but if you can't hold him his Divine Seal Regen is more than enough to keep his team up. But as far as WHM's threat they offer another Sleep so be watchful for it.

    My impressions thus far.

It's okay and pretty fun, but will definitely need some tweaking here and there to abilities as there are noticeable balance issues and some abilities are just way too powerful (sleep).

At the moment, it often feels very chaotic and people seem to be running around unfocused, resulting in getting their team killed, but this is understandable for something that is new to the game and as people play it more things will become more organized and more strategies will emerge.

I like that each class seems to have a strategy and role and that you need to know what you need to do in a fight and how to approach the other team based on their class/job makeup.
So far this is what it seems like to me.
-Tanks: use CC abilities (stuns, silence, Holmgang, etc.) to lock down and hold high risk enemies such as healers and casters with sleep so that the DPS can finish them off quickly.
    - Healers: Heal people and stay away from the fight.
    - DPS: Kill people and do it fast, preferably by focusing on the high risk targets being locked down by the tank. If you're a BLM using sleep to take people out of the fight for a bit, particularly the tank.

Things I would like to see in PvP in the future.
    - 8v8 team deathmatches
    - New game-types such as CTF, Capture and Hold, etc.
    - Arenas/play-spaces that are more "alive", for example an arena with traps that do AoE damage to specific areas every now and then.

MRD seems more and more likely to be more useful than WAR. You lose unleashed, but can pick up raging strikes and blood for blood, giving 3 total damage buffs that you can roll (save berserk last). You lose Inner Beast, HP recov, and HP; but this is a worthwhile trade to lose the damage penalty and that you are the least likely to be focused.

Aside from SLEEP and SWIFTCAST/rez or sleep, I found Sprint to be a huge advantage for casters that makes it even harder than it already is for melee to stay in range. The TP loss for sprint costs nothing to DoM, while the DoW suffers for it (Enliven alleviates but has a long cooldown). Furthermore, once sprint is off cooldown, the DoM has passively gained enough TP to sprint for another 10 sec.

    Looking over the PVP abilities:
-Predictably, Purify is a must. Use it at the earliest application of Sleep for the best results.
-Mythril Tempest has a lot of potential to at least be a quick peel.

IMHO: feature increases the damage in PvP should not exist!

It is difficult to explain, given the experience of the game where such a parameter is a sharp imbalance (the player can not / do not have any time to oppose anything, because: stunlock/controllock/"oneshots") between players who have PvP equipment and those who do not have it / or in the process of collecting.

my first impression as a warrior: one of the worst pvp system ive ever experienced

Sleep - Square Enix, are u fkin kidding us? 30sec + 15sec + 7sec in a 2minute fight? and all we have is "Purify" 300sec cooldown. must be a troll attempt.

Sprint - Remove it etirely in PVP or make it MP based on caster classes. i throw tomahawks(low dmg + high TP) like an idiot because all my melee skills fail and just when almost all my tp are blown for nothing but a little disturbance, casters sprint is ready again for another 20seconds. i mean, really?
