A collection of clips that were taken on the very first day of PvP in 2.1. Featuring 4v4 battles in Wolves' Den. There are evident issues from latency and lack of actual snares that make melee extremely susceptible to unintentional deadzoning. However, with high mobility options and respectable burst damage, the Dragoon is still a solid choice in PvP.

Are dragoons PVP skills any good?

Been slaughtering today as Mnk/Drg/Sch/Pld due to the burst and using Weapon Throw between the two of us to slow those down that try to get away from us.

Done 4 pvp matches with brd. Always been a one sided match because brds seem to have a huge advantage.

Geez, you'd think that with all the doom and gloom whining that's been happening over melee in PVP that would have just been a video of your whole team being permasleeped and nuked down by a single blm or all 4 of you being totally unable to even dent a whm's hp.

Then again, I have holmgang to hold the squishy little bastards in place while someone else turns their insides into a pretty painting all over the floor.

Yes, they are good. Not overpowered and not underpowered. Solid and reliant.

Bards have an advantage due to latency and range checks. If this is fixed, things would be more balanced.

This is the first comp I ran with Ming. It was okay. I find MNKs are too easy to shut down and their on-demand burst is somewhat lacking for how often they fall behind.

My god...as if you needed to make a video to show how screwed up PvP is at the moment. Between 20 second Sleep and even a simple auto attack breaking spells, it's incredibly frustrating for both melee and casters; matches last way too short. I know it's just come out, but this is...just bad.

As for the video itself, extremely well done. Congratulations for you and your teammates.

We'll definitely try Monk/Dragoon combo again . With a full premade group this time hopefully. It does have very good damage, though I think the one weakness here, even more than deadzone, is our somewhat lack of CC compared to certain comps like...

Facing these comps I have been CCed endlessly even with fetter ward and purify. Pretty frustrating, a good healer is essential to deal with comps like this.
