I can see this happening, I tend to vote for anyone who was friendly though. In one of my groups today it was a DRG.

I have noticed this too. So far I've always been nice and helpful, even held back on my damage to not get hate off tanks (I'm on Archer), and haven't gotten any commendation yet. I think from now on I'll be commending only DPSs, unless I am given reasons against it. Us DPSs need some love too!

Well, the two roles that keep the party alive? Yeah I'd expect that to happen, hence why bonuses are more for Healer/Tanks as well.

I understand that. Knowing this, I would have expected the developers to allow for multiple selections for positive experiences from members in the group.

I think that in my 3 DFs I gave a commendation to one of the DPS.

Though its not surprising that tanks and healers get more commendations.

Also not to be a noob with this question but do you only get to vote on your party members if you do the que alone (the roulette thing)? I didn't get to play too much this morning as my daughter needs my attention until she goes to bed ^^

Yes, you can only vote when queing alone.
You can still receive votes when queing with multiple people though (as long as it is not a full party). I got the recommendation above while queing with two friends.

I've gotten commendations in just about every group so far, as per, brd, and Whm, but I do try to chat with people. Makes the runs more fun. And so far I get about one person in group chatting with me, so that's generally who gets it, regardless of role.

Well, honestly, that was to be expected. Some people don't even give commendations and just leave the dungeon the moment it's completed. I gave out several commendations to DPS players today.
