You realize how pathetic this is. SE actually had to give people a reason to be nice. People are so terrible now that they can't even consider being nice until they think they will lose out on a reward...sigh...

As much as I agree with you, the results are clear. I can't really complain about that even if SE is bribing some people to be nice. Granted, I haven't ran into too many...winners, myself. The community isn't so bad. The only time I've seen people be less than kind is either those rare times others are being jerks, or just being plain stupid, and you can't fix stupid.

Whatever works. Why do you think we have laws? People need order, unless your goal is to live in fear. The internet is a prime example of first-world chaos when given even a taste of individual freedom.
