    I'm really up in arms over this and the fact that they messed up my menu's horribly. However I feel the need to say that this is a repeat thread, why not post in the others?

    It's starting good conversations lol, not just the forums eh.

    The Fates and being forced to do them wouldn't be too bad if the wait was reduced to admit it.. maybe later once the content isn't as new increase the timer of it. I've heard people saying it takes a hour for a fate to spawn for the crystal tower quest line

    FATE's have been the core of almost every single friggin event then they shove it here for CT.

    C'mon, is it that tough to figure out?

    Timed FATEs serve as a virtual valve that allow the devs to control the amount of players who enter CT.

    If CT server stress gets too high, guess what... The FATE stops appearing! (queue players: "Oh noes! Theres something wrong/glitched with the FATE timer?!?1!")

    It's the exact same reason why housing prices are so high to start with.


    Expect server load control gimmicks like these every time the game gets a major update..

    In short: Just wait it out.

    Except that its not. The long wait timers are unintended and have to do with other Fates in the area. Hotfix is coming on the 19th to alleviate this, so it has nothing to do with server control.

    I agree with the FATEs being used to act as a control valve for the number of people in CT. My issue is that SE refuses to acknowledge it. They did the same thing with the housing costs, to control usage. But instead of informing the player base so we dont waste HOURS waiting to play content they wont let us get into, they lie to us about it.
    Again SE, be honest so we can all move on and do other things in the patch. This is getting ridiculous.
    New key content in patch:
    Housing: unusable due to price control lockout
    CT: Unusable due to FATE controlled lockout
    PVP: Working as intended

    1 for 3 isnt bad right????

    No I'd say the once-a-week loot is plenty to keep people from spamming CT.
