You just need a FFXIV:ARR modelviewer that extracts and exports 3D meshes, you can easily make your own.

The only modelviewer I know of is the one at XIVmodels, but it's useless with no option to export the mesh.

I own a Figureprint of my character from another MMORPG.

Its so awesome...I even got to pick what clothing she wore and weapons she carried in her hands. Naturally, I dressed her up in biergarten outfit and put brew mugs in her hands, to immortalize her in her drunken glory. One of my guild members had his warrior type tank character posed carrying nothing but an ax and wearing a manly thong, another had his dressed up as Santa Claus. The figures themselves were well done and they looked either really cool or hilarious depending on how you dressed them.

I'd have no problem purchasing one of my FF14 character either if it was done by the same company with the same level of detail.

Are you talking about doing it yourself on Shapeways?

The only thing I would think would be difficult is that I think they require the model to be hollow to print... so you might have to know something about 3D modeling software to adjust the polygons accordingly.

I'm in agreement with pretty much everyone here, in that this is an excellent idea. I would love to have a 3d character model of my "toon", and not only that but I would also pay a pretty penny for one. Sqeenix should jump all over this, I'm sorry but that idea is a friggin cash generator in the making.
