Well, that's one way to extend content lol. At least the instance servers for CT won't get hammered.

I played it for 8yrs and loved it. but camping random pops, then hoping for the drop, and trying to out spam/claim mobs for drops was my most hated part of ffxi, now that they are bringing that function to this game is very disappointing...
I was looking forward to continuing content with CT, but after reading this post and finding out what I have to do to unlock CT, I'm pretty turned off. Maybe it won't be as bad as it sounds.... but I'm already super sick of trying to beat Titan, and now this! not sure how much longer I'll keep playing/paying.

Sorry, didnt realize having to work for something you want was a bad thing, i guess your not gonna be getting a FC house either because it's too hard?Don't care if you had to do it in XI or not. It's insanely boring, and I have no interest in playing content that forces me to stand around doing nothing for 3 hours and forces me to not really be able to leave the computer in all that time because I have no idea when it will pop. If it was in FFXI, then it was stupid there too. But you know, enjoy your standing around for hours, if that's fun for you.
I can agree with that, but at the same time, the feels from finally getting what you want was great! plus it's not like you have to fight for claim here, everyone can get it done together. You deal with it once then never again and you can CT till your fingers fall off or you drop into a coma if you want XDI played it for 8yrs and loved it. but camping random pops, then hoping for the drop, and trying to out spam/claim mobs for drops was my most hated part of ffxi, now that they are bringing that function to this game is very disappointing...

To All:
I originally had fully planned on staying awake to log in as soon as the servers came up . . . but then I thought about it . . . and realised how packed the servers would be from high school / college kids, and opted out. I went to sleep, woke up and came to work. Look at that, the Forums already have multiple Dev Posts elaborating on problems that arose with patch 2.1. I didn't have to stay up all night to get access to CT. Now, I'll probably just go minind or something, rank up in GC so I can access Wolves Den, to Primals (Ex) ETC. Will I do CT? Absolutely! Will I do CT this week? Most likely yes. Will I Do CT tonight? Probably not. Does this bother me? nope.
Now that the Myth Tome cap/week was raised, I gotta cap out My Myth's so I can buy my Relic+1 next week.
See why can't everyone else be a lil more optimistic like this guy? XDTo All:

Standing around for an hour isn't really working for something. Long quest line that takes an hour? Groovy. Standing around for an hour for one fight? Lame.
Thankfully, it's a bug that's getting fixed. Just not today.
You're putting in time, I'd consider that work ^.^ that's cool it's getting fixed but it would have been fine either way. There were people sitting around waiting for the Lightning Fate's whats the difference? those didnt exactly pop every 5 mins.Standing around for an hour isn't really working for something. I do have to admit that once you obtained something like this in FFXI, like artifact gear, after key hunting parties, then coffer hunting, the feeling was unmatched by anything in this game thus far (maybe once I beat titan I'll feel that thrill again..) every time I had my coffer key, then finally saw that coffer pop my heart would start pounding as I popped sneak and invis, then waited for the mobs to turn around so I could open the coffer and get my gear!! what a rush!Sorry, didnt realize having to work for something you want was a bad thing, i guess your not gonna be getting a FC house either because it's too hard?

I hope you didn't complain about the long queue that you couldn't get in anyways to log into the game during launch.
After all, by your definition you were actually working, in fact, SE should add that in as a feature in the next patch - you must camp your login menu for up to 3 hours, during which there will be a 3 second window where you can log in, and if you missed it... too bad.
