Free World Transfer for new Characters on Legacy Servers. Can we Please have it?

Not sure why people are slamming the OP. She's being punished for playing on a server with friends on a Legacy server then expected to shell out 40 million for a fucking FC house for her small rp guild. It's crap.

Not being able to empathize with her situation is just, really gross of this community. It doesn't have to affect you to put yourself in her situation for crying out loud. Was the FF community always this awful?

I'm just not sure what exactly the OP expected, the legacy servers were characters brought over from remnants of a game that, towards the end of its life, had an economy that was completely out of control.

Though SE did try and help by slashing the overall total of gil by 90%, the relative wealth of the players who took advantage of the opportunities in vanilla FFXIV still created a vast gulf between them and those who would try and start fresh. The risks of something like this happening with any content that involved gil were written on the wall, and while it is unfortunate that SE did not think of a better way to implement housing (since it was primarily seen as vanity feature for those who feel that it would enhance their immersion/enjoyment in Eorzea rather than the blindsiding monolith of effort it is turning out to be), it is a possible ramification that comes with the territory.

Some economic ramifications were probably anticipated. Some.

However, there is a vast difference between 'some economic ramifications' and having to pay 5 times what the lowest priced server would for housing. 4 million is doable, 20 million, not so much ^^

I actually think they may open a free world transfer someday, just because legacy servers were not able to use the free world transfers everyone else got a few months ago.
