Looking for a little honesty SE

After spending the better part of the day reading (and laughing about) the forums, I can really only draw 1 conclusion about the housing issue: the price is no more than an artifical barrier. I do not believe that Yoshi or his dev team honestly believe the high prices are "good" for players. I think they knew exactly how mad the community would be when they saw the prices. And I don't believe for a second it's only about RMT.
The only thing that makes sense is that housing is not ready. SE is not prepared for all the FCs to build a house in the next week. They did not test and flat out aren't prepared for this content to launch. So instead, they make this "artifical barrier" which let's them "launch" it without having it be accessible. It will turn the launch into basically a beta. Yoshi said it himslef, save and in 3 months the your FC can have a house.
All the players want is the truth SE. As paying customer, we deserve it.

it is not an artificial barrier, you can clearly see this is to remove as much gil from the game as they can right off the bat, they even said that they will drop the prices later (guessing when person housing comes out)

Those prices were designed to give free companies a stronger purpose of collecting gil. They did not want the land to sell out.

Right now you can create a character have no FC and you will get blindly invited into one so they can collect more rank points. Now FCs will have to take into consideration who they want to invite and if they will bring any added value.

The developers know exactly how much gil players have and which FCs can afford it. Housing is not going to be for everyone. If it's that important to you, find a FC that can actually afford it.

It's a possibility, I won't deny that - but one which we can easily determine as truthful or not upon servers starting up - and hawt dayum, only 3 and a half hours till their scheduled ending time! Longest day I've had in a long long time!

We were told that when an instance fills up they would add more. Now they claim the prices are so high because if the land sells out quickly there'd be no land left to buy. There's either two possibilities. Yoshi lied to us or more likely the "opening up new instances" portion isn't ready yet.
