I did play wow for a few years and how there buddy pass worked was you get 15 days free and then you have to buy the game. My friend bought the collectors edition, gave me the buddy pass and after 30 days I went out and bought the game only to realized I already had it. (After I opened it so it and registered it to my account was non reutrnable lol) Sadly tho I would hook you up with the extra one but its linked too my account.

I think what Steelcyclone is trying to say is that, accounts created with the Buddy pass won't expire until the game becomes pay to play. When that happens you will have to pick up a retail serial key and link it to your buddy pass account to transfer it into a retail account.

Which is still quite a distance away. Originally Buddy passes were intended to expire after 30days of activation, but the "free period" has been extended for all accounts.
