Didn't miss the point. I said I AGREE that the price is too high and they SHOULD change it. However, all I am hearing for most people is "1st class large plot". It's like why do Small and Medium exist?

Edit: Also, I am waiting for 2.1 to see how much gil I can personally get in a day before making further complaints about it.

I think the price is ok, its just like RL, not everyone can get a house (unfortunately) and having one is a luxury, so maybe the devs are trying to make this so the richiest people can get the prettier houses and locations not everyone should get them cause then this would be boring, if you want a pretty house WORK FOR IT like you would do in RL, thats it.

A whole lot of FCs around here can't afford the *small* plots, in the least desirable place available. They aren't even looking at the large ones, because the price of those is pure science fiction.

Exactly. that honestly is all we were thinking we would be able to afford. We never even thought we'd be able to do the bigger plots. To find that it might take us several more months to get a crappy spot is aggravating.

Im TiRED of people trying to relate a vanity item in a game to a real-life counterpart. You want the real-life counterpart for Housing? Its called RENT & MORTGAGE. NOONE ever has a House constructed and then immediately pays the total cost up front.

Not to mention buying a House when the Contractor tells you you need to pay 10x's more than your neighbor who has an identical House just because you 'should' have more expendable income whether you do or not.

OR the Contractor tells you you have to pay a temporarily inflated price because they are going to deliberately understaff ur construction project. (The lack of servers)

Are you honestly comparing a game that's in closed beta with a few thousand players and population that's strictly controlled by the developers with a released game that has over 600,000 players (and climbing) and far exceeded its sales estimations?

Yes, I am.
It's not as if they don't BETA test their patch with some dozens/hundreds before they make it available to that 600K player base.
You can draw an estimate on server weight by multiplying the impact a smaller number of players have on server to match that of the expected "actual" player base.

I really love this game, but the dev team and their backward mentality with it are slowly pushing me away.
Don't get me started on the changes to some classes/armor pieces.

This isn't personal housing. This is FC housing. The point of FC housing is that everyone comes together to buy it, not just the one person.
Moreover, it isn't as if people are starting at 0 gil. People already have some gil saved up that they can use to contribute to FC housing.
Even small FC's will have a chance, sure it may take longer but that's the price you pay for being a smaller FC.

The difference being, you cannot expect everyone in your FC to donate ALL of their gil to the FC house.
If you are an officer, sure you may be prepared to do this, but for the most part - standard members generally are not willing to shed off 90% of their holdings to the FC.

Personal housing however - you can expect people to throw away all of their gil to afford one. So this is the difference here..
While FC's have more people - this does not mean those people are prepared to dump all of their gil into the FC.
