Reading the patch notes i found this

"Entering the Labyrinth of the Ancients
The Labyrinth of the Ancients can be accessed via the Duty Finder when playing solo or in a party of eight players. However, parties that enter the Crystal Tower must fulfill the requirements of two tanks, two healers, and four DPS. Please be aware that you cannot register for this duty if your party does not match this composition.

Please note that three parties of eight cannot register for this duty together. Each party must register separately and be matched via the Duty Finder"

It is the last part that got me : "Please note that three parties of eight cannot register for this duty together. Each party must register separately and be matched via the Duty Finder"

SO even if you have 24 people in your FC / LS one you might not all be matched and two you MUST fill the roles .

Yes. Thats the jist of it.

It is 24 man content but you cannot control who the 24 are. You can only control it in 8's. And even then, it must be 2 tank, 2 heal, and 4 dps.

What you can do with your FC is have your 3 groups of 8 all register for duty at the exact same time. You're not guaranteed that you'll all be in together but you should get at least 2 parties together.

Yep, Yoship-P had mentioned this and although this does suck, he stated that later on they will make the option to have multiple parties enter the duty finder, meaning that two or more parties of eight will indeed be able to join. I just don't remember if he mentioned if it would be ready before 2.2 or not.

What I take from this is that all the parties will probably all be 8 man pre-made from FC's or LS. So the quality of the other parties should be pretty good compaired to 4 man DF groups.

You have as much chance of encountering an 8 man premade as you do a PUG who DF'ed it.

So, let me get this straight...

I can queue solo. Or with a party of eight.

... I can't queue with like one friend? We have to build the whole party if we want to run together? Really?

ehm...you don't have to be solo OR full party...you can enter with just some party members, just like every other dungeon in df

What gets me the most is this . SE wants us to play as a group . So most of us made a FC or LS with players that will equal the content i.e Crystal Tower is 24 man so i have 24 FC / LS members to do the content together . This is an oversight ( and i think it is one ) where you all can not do the content as a group . I understand that SE will "Fix" it sometime maybe in 6 months but it is not what i and a lot of others were expecting .

I still think CT should have been 12 players instead of 24. But we'll see how it goes.
