Very easy way to show you don't agree with it.

When that page loads click Cancel Automatic Renewal and follow instruction.
What could be more easier than that.

Does anyone know if these plots are tradable? Can you guess why I'm asking this? I'm going to assume that it's not since they have been keeping a tight lid on tradable items.
What I can't figure out is why they went with the Ultima Online housing module rather than what other MMO's use, the instance housing. It's much easier to manage, and cuts down on lag. Yes, rendering all those plots with houses on them will cause lag. I've been only playing for a month and someone can shed some light light on how all of this is going to take place. SE can be very tight lip with information. Thanks

I do hope that adjustments get made. I know that a few folks in my FC will be very disappointed. For me, I'm more looking forward to personal housing whenever that comes out.
Yeah this is true, as I said in my previous post, legacy people who started recently or even those who in 1.0 didn't care much for amounting gil are being punished too harshly for this. It's funny how 90% of the time, it's the people from lower 3 tiered servers (smallest plot priced 4-8 mil at max plot price) are the ones willing to work. Clearly most of the people on higher-cost servers (smallest plot 20-40 mil at max plot price) are lazy >.>
Stripped down to what Yoshi said, 20k earned daily via a battle class is the same for all people on all servers - plot prices, however, aren't....
The funny thing is that while it may be true that mostly only legacy people complain(and with this reason behind them), there's also a lot of people on non-legacy where houses are below 10M complaining, and not only is it not that hard to get it in those servers, as it is kind of insulting to the people who have it really bad I'd say.
Anyway hope the legacy situation eventually normalizes.
The way i see it, its going to be like this:
few FC's will buy the cheep lands, and very few will buy the middle ones, the big houses will be for very rich few FC's.
2-3 weeks later they will drop the prices so another few FC's will buy houses, and then they will drop the prices once more when PS4 comes out and they implement new servers.
so in 2-4 month's the prices will be lowered where all small FC's can afford it.
For me, i was looking for it, but not any more.

I have a feeling they'll be tied to the FC and not items in of themselves:
So looks like you can't sell/trade it, though you could get round it by inviting someone to the FC, giving them full leadership and then leaving them to it.Originally Posted by Patch 2.1 Notes
Relinquishing Land
In order to relinquish a plot of land, you must first remove the estate hall and all furnishings. Once the plot is completely vacant, it can be relinquished from the Housing menu. Only free company members with the requisite authorization can perform this action.
* Gil will not be refunded upon relinquishing a plot of land.
Building parts and construction permits, however, are a different matter.
Lets act as if the reason has nothing to do with the fact that SE dont have enough instance sever...
Pretty much this. From the sound of things they're having a similar problem that they had at launch where they were having instance issues. I think the super high prices are more the result of them looking at how many FCs could buy houses and instead of being prepared with multiple instances or neighborhoods for people to buy land on they set up the high price as a barrier to make up for it. This is basically the housing equivalent of "We don't have enough room for more players so we're not selling the game anymore."

if this is a way to stop RMT's its just not gonna happen. RMT's start acquiring accounts that have FC housing access already (people sell accounts SE, its just a fact) they buy all the land with their infinite supply of gil. where are we now? Instead of having in game GM's that we can call or contact to bad a RMT which is clearly spamming, the account stays on a BL and nothing done about it so far. I get the whole "it might be a stolen account thing" but come on I'm sure player "asdfg hjkl" is not a hacked account or even his brother "qwerty uiop" isnt either. RMT is gonna stay until they start a massive ban wave of in game GM's. Hell I'll apply for a GM and clean this place up, where do I sign up.

So basically, he explained his bone headed logic, justified it, and promised to "look at it" and maybe we'll get some satisfaction in the vague future.
What a surprise. Well I'm done with this game. Wildstar is coming out soon, and that game does pretty much everything better than FFXIV.
